Wake up and live again, Thaumcraft 4.
Welcome to Thaumcraft Revival, a fork of my other 1.7.10 pack, Thaumcraft Evolved.
Thaumcraft Evolved was meant to be the definitive way to play Thaumcraft in 1.7.10, the way it was 10 years ago. But Thaumcraft Revival is something else entirely.
Do you miss old magic mods, but love the modern features from newer versions of Minecraft? Do you wish you could have old mods from the glory days alongside the quality of life improvements? That's why I put this list together. Though it would be impossible to bring all of these mods to modern Minecraft, there is enough nostalgia for 1.7.10 that some very talented modders have backported various quality of life improvements from newer versions back to 1.7.10. These mods, along with the very best magic mods of yore, have created an entirely unique blend of new and old, breathing new life into Thaumcraft, Botania, Witchery, Tinker's Construct, and more.
Here are some of the newer features you can expect:
- Wood Variants - Wood variants for doors, fences, trapdoors, and more!
- Deepslate - Deepslate now replaces stone at low y-levels.
- Raw Ores - No more dropping ore blocks!
- Modern Villages - Though modded structures remain the same, vanilla structures are replaced with their modern counterparts.
- Work Blocks - Composters, Blast Furnaces, Smokers, and more are back!
- Off-Hand - Though shields are still in the future, you can now hold torches or other items in your off hand for convenient use!
- Bundles - Bundles, for keeping your inventory clean with all of the new modded items.
- Netherite - Netherite gear and ancient debris make a return, with much more in...
- A Modern Nether - A new, modern Nether inspired by the Nether update! Though not 1:1, the new Nether added by Netherlicious feels incredibly modern, yet fits perfectly with the 1.7.10 modded aesthetic.
- Campfires - Tired of using fuel to cook? Campfires are back!
And more!
Along with all of these modern backports, Thaumcraft Revival contains all the essential addons to Thaumcraft, along with other magic mods like Botania, Avaritia, Witchery, Blood Magic, The Twilight Forest, and The Aether!
All credit goes to the authors of the mods contained in this modpack, and any and all praise should be directed towards them for the wonderful work they do and have done for the Minecraft community.
