The modpack leverages the vanilla advancement system to guide players while still allowing for an open, sandbox-style adventure. As you complete numerous custom advancements, you'll unlock distinct 'ages' that introduce new mods to explore.

SevTech's primary objective is to introduce less commonly used mods while making alterations to more widely recognized ones. Additionally, the pack incorporates numerous custom mods to enhance the overall player experience.

When you embark on your initial journey, you'll find yourself in a world with minimal resources. There are no maps or 'What Am I Looking At' (HWYLA) functionality, and only a handful of items and recipes are available. As you progress, you'll gradually unlock these features, gaining access to thousands of items and blocks, and much more. Your ultimate goal is to progress through the advancement system, starting from the stone age and advancing all the way into space!

One noteworthy feature of SevTech: Ages is that every aspect of the game can be experienced in multiplayer mode. Progression is tied to individual players rather than being server-dependent. This means that even if you join a large server after others have started, you won't be left behind. Moreover, the pack includes the 'Together Forever' mod, enabling players to form teams and synchronize their progression. We recommend using the 'quark_realistic' world type.
