Versions / Change Log:
1.0.90 - 1.0.99 Are simply test versions as I progressed between 1.0 and 2.0. These are all very buggy and my be removed at some point in the near future.
2.0 Version 2.0 is a complete overhaul of 1.0 and should cannot be simply updated from 1.0!
Here are the key features added to 2.0:
- The questbook has been fully rewritten to be more compact as well as fit better into the world of TFC.
- The tech tree has been completely reworked to have more of a linear progression similar to the core TFC tiers of alloys.
- Machines and technical recipes are very heavily integrated and will often require other machines in order to be crafted.
- Many non-TFC machine parts, such as BuildCraft Gears, can no be crafted on TFC Anvils.
- Monsters now have unique behaviors and habitats where they can be found. Learning these habits will be a key to your survival and progression!
- Some biomes are intended to be much more dangerous and rewarding than others!
- Lost ruins, dungeons, and caves can be very deadly to the unprepared explorer, but also very rewarding to a well equipped party of explorers. Monsters will get much more dangerous the deeper underground you travel!
- Factorization and automation can now be achieved through the combination of technology mods added in this version, but is intended to be a large part of the End Game goals.
Been playing for a little bit and I really enjoy it, but I just ran into a problem I'm hoping someone can help me fix
A bunch of recipes just randomly disappeared one day when I loaded up the game, and I don't know why. For example, I can no longer craft raw meef into quarter hearts and I can no longer make witch water in a barrel by adding nether wart to brine. The recipes seem to have just disappeared from the game, including the JEI menu.
Anyone experienced this and maybe have an idea of how to fix it?
having a problem with the mod where the rocks and sticks on the ground appear as black squares or not at all and mobs and doors appear black or not at all anyone know how to fix this? accessing inv with the mods sticks or rocks in cause the screen to go one colour same with looking at mobs or holding the rocks and sticks.
In reply to Eramerac:
YES! I'm having this problem too. And better yet, it's persistant across installations. No matter what modpack of TFC I have the glitch is the same.
Well not exactly, in this modpack the sticks and rocks are black squares on the ground and holding one in your hand makes your screen entirely one colour. Almost like you're zoomed in 10000x.
I've tested this across a bunch of modpacks, including a pack I know works on another PC and while the sticks and rocks can sometimes appear okay on the ground, they're always blinding me when I hold them. Quite unplayable and I don't know how to fix it but if it's the same across different modpacks, and my other PC runs it fine then it must be something to do with our PC's right?
Hello!
So I am able to run the modpack fine on its own, but I want to play with a friend.
I installed forge 1.7.10 into a server folder and copied the mods folder into the server mods folder. However, when I start the world, it just creates a vanilla world instead of utilizing the mods.
I do I manually create a TerraFirmaPunk server world? Thanks
In reply to OldManSpock:
Make sure you are removing any client-only Mods. In this modpack that means the following:
AutoRun
SoundFilters
Damage Indicators (Client)
Dynamic Lights (Client)
Once this is done, make sure you are starting the server from the forge universal server jar file and NOT the default server file. You can also make a run.BAT file with the following text:
@ECHO OFF
java -Xms4096M -Xmx4G -jar forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1566-1.7.10-universal.jar nogui
pause
Hi, im playing this on a server. And noone of us can craft items that are not in the base game of tfc. For example the brick oven, wooden rod for pendulum etc.

This pack works for me. I made a few tweaks and it runs good. I'm doing a let's play/walkthrough on this. On YouTube. Its made for those that have not played this pack or tfc can understand what to do.
What forge this one work best because mine doesn't work (forge).
In reply to chuleta114:
Use a launcher, if you aren't already. And no, the twitch launcher doesn't count. That thing is cursed.
Download GDLauncher and it will probably do everything for you. Just hit the plus, and then "browse modpacks."
Barring that, download the file straight from this page. Get MultiMC, create a new instance, choose "import from zip," and choose the modpack file you downloaded.
In reply to destroy3r113:
if you install this on the curseforge application, the right forge version will be automatically installed.
The game crashed whilst there was a severe problem during mod loading that has caused the game to fail
Error: cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sirolf2009/necromancy/client/renderer/tileentity/TileEntityAltarRenderer
Exit Code: -1
Anyone know how to fix this? Can't figure out at all considering I've downloaded the similar file as everyone else.
In reply to themobydik:
I have exactly the same problem. I tried to find the problem but i wasnť successful.
I anyone knows what's the problem, please help.
In reply to pajaking_36:
Ok so tried to delete some mods to see which one is causing the problem. I found that i can load all mods without a problem if i delete "TerraFirmaPunkTweaks-1.7.10-1.19" mod. But than another problem appears...
The game crashed again, this is the report:
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: The following block entry in TFCOre.cfg is invalid: tfctech:Ore4
Exit Code: -1
If anyone knows what is wrong please help.
Dear TFP peeps,
I want to add Optifine to this modpack, as the frames are so low as to make it unplayable. Everytime I do the game crashes during loading with this error:
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/renderer/texture/TextureMap
Anyone know how to make it work? Is it a specific optifine I need other than the most recent 1.7.10?
Any help would be appreciated. This pack looks fun, and challenging. Saw it via the Ethoslab youtube series.
Sincerely,
Zane
In reply to zane_s13:
Remove FastCraft then add Optifine because they are not compatible
In reply to YaSsirJuMaahHMC:
Thanks! It worked. Much appreciated!!
Anyone know a config change to lower the amount of trees spawned?
I've started almost 30 worlds now and every one of them is covered with trees so dense that not only do I end up less than 20fps, but I'm always getting killed immediately on initial spawn because the tree cover allows constant mob spawns...or at least blocks me from seeing them until way too late.
I've been trying to play this pack for most of a week now, and I've never been able to because of how the worlds are starting. If it's not trees and mobs, it's a covered island more than -12k blocks out. I'm having to switch to creative just to be able to scout if a world's viable before I can even start actually playing.
