A QUICK IMPORTANT MENTION!
- Well first i want to say, this modpack is based of off another modpack called Serious TFC, made by a friend of mine, serious creeper, he has kindly assisted me in development ideas and advice and has allowed me to use part of his script for some recipes.
So, what is this modpack about?!
1) - The Premise of the Modpack:
Its going to be about starting your journey from nothing, and then building your way up to being an industrial age automated factory of sorts, where you can reach the stars, the idea came to me when i was playing the modpack Serious TFC, because it has a lot of custom recipe changes, and lots of lines of scripts to add different features, so i figured i would expand on this modpack and add things like, a quest book with an in-depth guide on how to play TFC for those who are new to TFC, and i added a feature where in order to make charcoal, its a bit of a process similar to how leather is made, but obviously not in barrels, just as an example, because it has quite a few steps to it, as well as some custom loot bag rewards in game which i personally designed for each chapter to have and include a different pool table of things you can get as a reward. it also has compatibility between alex's mobs, Naturalist, and better animals plus mods, to add plenty of wonderful but dangerous creatures into the world of TFC, all integrated quite well with TFC if i do say so myself, however it also as well as being a challenging pack, i have added some QOL mods to make up for some of the hardships the player must endure, for example, animal husbandry is encouraged heavily in the modpack, with mods such as CarryOn which adds the ability to pick up mobs, as well as chests, (although im planning on disabling the chest picking up ability) in the near future, there is also a data pack i have added, which makes TFC trees much more taller and thus providing more wood upon chopping down, to make up for the amount of steps required that need wood for charcoal, and i have been given permission (because i especially loved this recipe and its function) by serious creeper (the developer of Serious TFC) to include his custom Backpacks tier system recipes, utilizing the Sewing Kit mod.
So whats your goal?
2) - The Goal, i have in mind:
The end goal, is to hopefully, to have them (the player) just automate everything, because there is not 1 specific end goal, my modpack is about having fun and doing it their way, this means, the players choices will influence how their own world turns out, if they want a more casual experience go for it, if they want to rush the pack, then go for it, the quests are there to assist, not as a "must do thing" the player decides what they want to do and make in the world, they decide their own end goal, because i personally believe that a pack should have no definitive "end point" otherwise when the player achieves said "end point" they will feel as though they have beaten the pack, and will move on, my hope is that this modpack will always be around as a freely open option for friends to play a-like, and be a modpack that you pick up again after not playing for some time, because i want the players to feel as though, they can come back to their world or even start a new adventure, and not feel "limited" in their choices on how to do things a certain way.
Some Extra Notes:
1) - Feedback i have been given:
With that being said, i understand that people may think "will counter that, with saying that an automation game with no end point feels like there's little point to automating, for a sizable portion of players"
2) - A friend of mine said to me when regarding this modpack:
"I automate to reach a goal, because it's harder if I don't, if you set the end goal REALLY REALLY FAAAAR off, there's plenty of room for self expression in how you get there still"
3) - The quest book as of right now is NOT complete!
