What's new

## 1.0.5

- New art: every block, item, machine, pipe and fluid is now 16×16, keeping each tier's look.
- New: redstone control on conveyor, pump, robot arm and fluid regulator covers (switch with a Redstone Torch), an Output Bus item lock, Power and Adjustable Transformers, and a Pollution Detector Cover.
- New: the Atmospheric Purifier multiblock cleans pollution over nearby chunks; large turbines get loose or tight rotor fitting, and large steam turbines return distilled water.
- New: EV and IV drills and chainsaws, and the IV electric wrench and screwdriver.
- New recipes: a third ore byproduct, heavy and light fuel cracking, and Pyrolyse Oven tar, vinegar and liquor with their distillation.
- Space: playable low gravity, and rockets land on solid ground; fluid deposits on the rocket worlds.
- Multiblocks run at their energy hatch's tier; drilling rigs share a deposit and show what is left; turbine efficiency capped at 100%.
- Ores and world: veins never float in the air, the Prospector works on every world, and ruins avoid villages.
- Fixes: machines that output to buses (Void Miner, Ore Drilling Plant, Farm, Thermal Boiler and others) no longer lose items; research and hand-taken samples are kept on rejoin; powered armour only works while charged.
- Performance: lighter machine ticks and network memory, better for low-end PCs.
- Steam and first power fixes: boilers make their full 16 steam a tick, the Forge Hammer descales boilers, a full boiler banks its fire instead of burning fuel, steam machines no longer catch fire or explode in rain, and the Rotary Dynamo sends one amp so it no longer burns tin cable.
- Settings respected: cables no longer melt from overvoltage with cable burning off, and steam vent scalds follow the hazards setting.
- A cancelled machine explosion (for example by a claims mod) now keeps the machine.
- Charcoal pile: logs added while it burns now add burn time (no more instant 512-log piles).
- Adventure mode can no longer pick up a map's loose sticks and rocks; the pan no longer eats suspicious sand and gravel.
- The Sluice Box and Sawmill keep their progress when unloaded; the Sawmill forgets stale results after a reload.
- The dropped item cleanup no longer carries a countdown into the next world you open.
- Codex: boiler heat shown as a percentage, how to feed steam machines, overclocking and brick recipes corrected.

## 1.0.4

- Knapping: hold a rock in each hand, pick a tool head and knock the rocks together; the head and a stick make the rock tools. The Codex now starts with a day-one page on it.
- Codex map: much more detail (biome colours, hill shading, water depth, parchment style) and far deeper zoom.
- Techy Index: item tooltips everywhere, extended search (tabs, ids, phrases, OR), search history, recipe bookmarks, missing-ingredient highlights, drag items onto filters, and an operator cheat mode.
- Settings search on our settings screen and on the Options screen.
- Space skies: stars on every airless world, and the sun looks smaller the farther a world is from it.
- Low-detail graphics mode for weaker PCs (automatic on Fast graphics or Minimal particles).
- Dropped item cleanup: when thousands of items lie on the ground, the server announces a cleanup, counts down 10 seconds and clears them (server settings itemCleanup and itemCleanupThreshold, default 2000).
- In singleplayer the world owner can use operator-only features; servers still need operator.
- Every item texture redrawn at 16 px, the rest of the textures following.
- Early-game fixes: loot tables that silently did nothing (grass drops, chest stacks, ore drops, the salt pan), tinder cut from grass with a knife, the Bow Drill no longer wastes tinder, and many crucible, anvil, Coke Oven, blast furnace, kiln, millstone, sluice and hand-station fixes.
- Fewer seeds from breaking grass.
- Fixed: the Index flickering beside machine screens, Index keys firing while typing in other text boxes, cut-off Codex chapter titles, the Codex cover emblem, and a Safe that changed owner when broken by something other than a player.
- Lore continuity pass through the Codex and every ruin note.
- Worlds from 1.0.1: Nether, End and Pluto ore picks changed in 1.0.2, so prospecting there may not match ore already placed.
