This is a general-purpose modpack for Minecraft 1.12.2 made specifically for a small private server, but available for anyone else to enjoy. It is designed with three key areas of expansion in mind:
-Building: To allow for the creation and ease of creation for more interesting and interactive structures
-Exploration: To expand on what players can find within the world of Minecraft as they journey across the lands
-Technology: To make life easier and do it in a way that just looks awesome
To accomplish this, this mod pack uses mods such as:
- Applied Energistics 2
- Computronics
- Chisels & Bits
- Forestry
- Roguelike Dungeons
- Twilight Forest
- Open Computers
- Natura
This mod pack eschews certain mods like EnderIO and MineFactory Reloaded because, while they do add to the key aspects and goals of this pack, they also imbalance and overshadow other aspects. As such, not everyone is going to enjoy this pack, but if you do want an alternate take on the usual tech-based mod pack, then this might be for you.
All of this is intended to not drastically interfere with the core gameplay of Minecraft, only augment and accent it. You're still going to be starting by punching logs and making dirt huts to hide from Creepers. You will still be going deep into caves to seek out ore while avoiding Spiders. Skeletons still roam the night and will turn you into a pincushion. And the Ender Dragon still lurks in the abyss...
