Tales of Adventure
Undead and Casters conquer the Overworld! Explore an expanded Vanilla-like experience with touches of additional Fantasy and RPG elements that liven up the world and feel more expansive. Perfect for a survival singleplayer or multiplayer experience.
This modpack spawns you into a random village with guards at the start to get an early game head start as well as having gravestones when you die to protect items in a tombstone after death and prevent worry of death (mostly).
MAIN FEATURES OF THE OVERWORLD:
- The Graveyard is a spooky mod that adds to the vanilla overworld with a few new mobs, items, structures and the Graveyard Biome, including a boss on a floating island hidden in the world that has to be summoned with collected items exclusive to the mod.
- I've added The Aether, and Twilight Forest dimensions, which have their own unique portals to enter as well as dungeons/villages in both realms. This helps newer players stay away from the imposing new dangers until they're ready. Are you prepared?
- I did put in a good bit of world gen mods for the vanilla Overworld (mainly using Vanilla blocks), including the Nether and The End, most of which are unique structures with villagers and a lot of towers/ships which can help liven up the world. That said, I did add things like Biomes O' Plenty for more biomes along with other trees and added a handful of (mostly) friendly NPCs/critters/companions.
- Witch Villages spawn in swamp biomes, as well as a Wizard Tower with its own mini-boss found that can be found in plains/forest biomes. Bountiful adds Bounty Boards to villages to add a quest-like bounty system for those looking for a few extra things to do in town.
- Fantasy Armour, Fantasy Weapons, Spartan Shields, More Bows and Arrows, and Magical Jewelry have been added to help beef yourself up in the late game with an expanded arsenal that doesnt scale too crazy, it can be especially useful for pushing harder content such as the new/added dimensions and bosses.
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks was added to give as much of a much-needed "balanced" magical feel to this pack without going too overboard or feeling out of place really. Definitely expansive and can get crazy, so I suggest looking at this mod page itself to fully understand it unless you enjoy going in blind. It adds 2 bosses, 9 NPCs, 12 armor sets, 11 structures, imbuement and upgrade system and more.
- I've added plenty of convience/ease of travelling with Waystones, Waystone Towers, Waystone Crypts, Small Ships, Hookshot, and Paragliders. Vanilla boats can now jump with Jumpy Boats.
Quick run down of some of the other mods I included:
- ChocoCraft! Adds Chocobos of many varieties to the game to tame, ride/fly, and breed! Gyshal Greens are plants that spawn around the world used to tame Chocobo's, or to turn into food.
- Farmer's Delight and Delight addons for other mods I've included for added synergy for more food as well as Quality Food which has a chance to be obtained and makes all food better!
- Aquaculture 2, Book Fishing, and Stardew Fishing (adds a mini-game like feature to fishing) for an enhanced fishing experience.
- Easy Villagers to help ease the process of moving Villagers and trading with them with Trade Cycle, as well as More Villagers which provide them with more professions/uniqueness, and they all have Villager Names! Guard Villagers have also been added to help keep the peace.
- JEI, Jade, Durability Tooltip, JourneyMap, What Are They Up To, Chat Heads, AppleSkin, Enchantment Descriptions, Tips and Emojiful for some UI enhancements.
- Comforts for sleeping on-the-go without resetting your spawn, as well as Easy Sleeping, which requires at least half of the players to be asleep to reset to day.
- Traveler's Backpack for a portable extra storage you can wear, Iron Chests and Iron Furnaces which provide upgradable versions of the base versions.
- Mighty Mail to provide an in-game simplified version to sending players mail with messages/items who are online or offline. Post box to send mail, mailbox to recieve mail.
- More Mob Variants to mix up the textures of most mobs in addition to the default textures.
- Critters and Companions, Ghosts, Ribbits, Untitled Duck Mod, Goblin Traders, the mobvote 2023 Crab and Legendary Creatures for more variety and livelyhood in the map. Only Legendary Creatures has added hostile mobs of the group.
- Resource Ghouls are an added Zombie variant found underground that provides additional ways to get minerals through combat. The rarer the mineral visually displayed on the ghould, the harder the fight!
- Pet Cemetary allows you to revive your vanilla pets up to 2 times only with a collar they drop on death, which (and look) different after reviving them each time. Zombie pets can be cured, Skeleton pets cannot.
- Plenty of decoration/cosmetic mods like Decocraft, Plushie Mod, Connected Glass, Camera Mod, Chisels and Bits, Dark Paintings, Display Delight, More Chest Variants (with support for Biomes O' Plenty), Botany Pots, Botany Trees, and Signposts. Witch Hats as well!
- Better Combat for a better visual combat experience.
- Giant Natural Additions and 4 other "Giant" modswere added to make the world feel a bit larger. I noticed most of these are made with wood, but the tops of the trees are not, so if caught on fire and not put out, you will have giant floating "leaf" structures in the sky.
- A few mods for convience/help that I've also included that weren't already mentioned are Amendments, Carry On, Chicken Chunks, Configured, Craftable Saddles (includes craftable Horse Armor and name tags), Easy Anvils, Ender Storage, Essential Mod, Explorer's Compass, Nature's Compass, Fast Leaf Decay, Mine Spawners (with Silk Touch only), More Dragon Eggs, Portable Crafting Table, and Tree Harvester.
This also includes performance mods to help with memory issues and client/server issues as well as a couple of mods for those willing to tweak mod settings (if they aren't configurable on their own) if you choose to do so. Be sure to check the full list if you're interested in what I used :)
This is my very first modpack for people looking for a simple yet semi-modded Minecraft experience. This includes "Medieval" resource packs from Excalibur for that extra RPG/Fantasy touch without being too overwhelming. There is also a hidden ShaderPack on the smaller side in the file as well if you wish to use that. Feel free to give feedback! :)
KNOWN ISSUES WITH THIS PACK FOR A HEADS UP
-Trapped chests with the More Chest Variants mod using the Biomes O' Plenty textures are messed up, I would advice not using those if you care for trapped chests.
-After doing some testing I noticed some terrain/structure generation MIGHT load into the world a little....off lol. So if that kind of thing matters to you and you spawn in to one that feels wrong, feel free to restart the world until it feels right. I made 10 worlds in testing and only 2 seeds had messed up the generation nearby, but after adding Structure Essentials it seemed to stop. I did 5 more tests, but maybe I just got lucky.
