🌊 Talassophobia – Low-End PC Version | Performance Update

A lighter, smoother, and more optimized underwater horror experience!

This version of Talassophobia was specifically designed for players with low-end PCs who experienced FPS drops, lag, stuttering, or high RAM usage in the original modpack.

The goal is simple: better performance without losing the terrifying underwater atmosphere that makes Talassophobia unique!

🚀 Performance Improvements

• ✅ Added ModernFix – Improves memory usage, loading times, and overall performance.

• ✅ Added FerriteCore – Reduces RAM consumption.

• ✅ Added Entity Culling – Improves FPS by avoiding unnecessary entity rendering.

• ✅ Added ImmediatelyFast – Optimizes rendering for smoother gameplay.

• ✅ Kept Embeddium for additional rendering optimization.

🗑️ Removed Heavy & Unnecessary Mods

• ❌ Removed BBS and other nonessential content-creation tools.

• ❌ Removed Physics Mod and expensive visual effects.

• ❌ Removed heavy weather simulation features.

• ❌ Removed Valkyrien Skies ship physics.

• ❌ Removed Create machinery and related optional features.

• ❌ Removed shaders and other unnecessary performance-heavy content.

• ❌ Removed additional optional mods to reduce system requirements.

In total: 50 mod entries removed and 4 optimization mods added!

⚙️ Recommended Settings for Low-End PCs

• Render Distance: 6–8 chunks

• Simulation Distance: 4–5 chunks

• Graphics: Fast

• Clouds: Off

• Particles: Minimal

• Shaders: Disabled

• RAM Allocation: 4–6 GB (depending on available system memory)

⚠️ Important Notes

This version is designed to improve performance, but FPS gains will vary depending on your hardware.

Starting a new world is strongly recommended, as some removed mods may have generated content in existing saves.
