Survivanilla SMP
Survivanilla SMP is a modpack built for players who want Minecraft to stay as close to vanilla as possible, while adding a level of social interaction the base game simply doesn't offer. It doesn't add new blocks, dimensions or crafting mechanics β it adds new ways to communicate and interact with other players, so that an SMP session with friends feels more like a shared experience than a text chat with 3D characters attached to it.
What's included
ποΈ Simple Voice Chat β proximity voice communication
Adds real positional voice chat, integrated directly into the game world: another player's volume rises and falls based on the actual in-game distance between your characters, within a configurable hearing range (around 48 blocks by default).
What this changes for you: if you're digging a tunnel with a friend and they wander off into a side shaft, their voice fades away naturally until they come back β no more typing "where are you?" in chat or running Discord alongside the game. A group mode is included for talking to players anywhere on the map (useful when you've built separate bases), plus a whisper mode that shrinks your range for private conversations β handy for planning a surprise without a third player standing nearby hearing everything. Press V to open the voice menu and adjust your microphone, switch between push-to-talk and voice activation, or mute yourself instantly.
π Kiss a Friend! β a social gesture between players
Adds an affectionate interaction between players: look at each other and sneak, and you'll trigger a "kiss" that spawns a heart particle effect above the recipient's head, along with a notification message and dedicated advancements.
What this changes for you: it's a lightweight way to mark the symbolic moments of a run β finishing a build together, opening up the new base, a last-second rescue from a Creeper β with visual and audio feedback instead of a plain /msg. It has zero impact on stats or gameplay: it's purely expressive.
π€ PatPat β pat other players and mobs
Lets you pat both other players and the friendly creatures in your world β tamed wolves, cows, and animals from compatible mods β complete with a dedicated animation and a subtle "squish" effect on the model.
What this changes for you: it adds a warm, mechanically harmless interaction with your animals and your friends, made for players who want their farm or their collection of tamed mobs to feel like more than just ownership β patting your horse before setting off on an expedition, or the cat you adopted from a village.
βοΈ Fabric API β technical foundation
The support library the other mods need to run properly on Fabric. It doesn't add any visible features on its own, but it's the technical base everything else in this pack is built on.
How this differs from vanilla
In vanilla, communication between players runs almost entirely through text chat or through tools outside the game (Discord, TeamSpeak). With Survivanilla SMP, voice communication is native and positional, and on top of it sit two small social interactions β the kiss and the pat β that give physical, visible feedback to moments that would otherwise pass unnoticed. World generation, combat and progression stay identical to vanilla: nobody downloading this pack has to relearn anything about the game. You just get an extra layer of presence and warmth when you play together.
Why download it
If you run or play on an SMP with friends and want the experience to stay faithful to the original game β without the disconnect of alt-tabbing to another app just to talk β or you want small moments of levity that make your sessions more memorable, this is a deliberately minimal pack: three social interaction mods, no compromises on vanilla gameplay.
This modpack is still expanding: future additions will follow the same principle β enriching the vanilla experience without overhauling its mechanics.
