In Survival.zip the instant you spawn it is a fight to survive. You can make a challenge by setting a single biome using Using the Deserted Mod mod and also you can use Biomes O' Plenty. Tough as Nails (Mod) you need to think about water and heat. Animals also are not domesticated because of the Improving minecraft mod. Even though this modpack adds elements to slow the progression there are mods like Refined storage, Mystical agriculture, and draconic evolution to add more progression and also to add more simplicity as you get more technological advancements.
