Your settings are now kept across updates

Until now, every pack update overwrote your configuration files. Keybinds, video settings, audio device, microphone selection and your server list were reset to the pack defaults each time — and the microphone one in particular left people silently unheard until they noticed.

The pack now ships those files as initial defaults instead. They are written once, when you first install the pack, and never touched again. From this version on, your own settings survive every update.

This covers options.txt (keybinds, FOV, sensitivity, volumes), the Simple Voice Chat settings (microphone, per-player volumes), Iris, Sodium, your server list and 38 other mod configs.

A few files stay managed by the pack on purpose, because they have to stay in sync: the custom menus, the Discord Rich Presence setup and the pack version used by the compatibility check.
