Quality of life mods to take the slog out of resource gathering like PattysMoreStuff, Iron Chests, Sophisticated Backpacks, Easy villagers and Nature's Compass. Corpse allows you to reclaim your inventory when you are slaughtered by dragons, sea serpents, cyclopes, and super mobs.
Informational mods like JEI, Jade, AppleSkin, and maps from Xaero.
The modpack has 275ish mods so you might need a good pc to run it singleplayer, however there are multiple mods to help with performance and it works great for me. Works great on a server if you remove all the client side mods.
