Description
⚔️🌑 SUNDERED REALMS 🌑⚔️
🧩 Minecraft 1.20.1 · 🔥 Forge 47.4.10 · 📦 332 Mods
A world stitched together from a hundred others. Realms bleed into one another, the things that live in them do not stay where they belong, and somewhere at the end of it all there is something worth killing.
🤖 READ THIS FIRST — Disclaimers
🧠 This modpack's configuration was built almost entirely by an AI
Every quest, the currency system, the worldgen rebalancing, the mod compatibility patching and the crash fixes were produced by Claude (Anthropic) working directly on the pack files across a single extended session. That includes:
- 📜 All 892 quests — written, generated, laid out and dependency-linked
- 🪙 The three-tier currency and shop system, including its item textures
- 🌍 A 335-file datapack rebalancing structure generation and lunar events
- 🐛 Diagnosing and fixing five separate hard crashes by disassembling mod bytecode
- 🔧 Custom Python tooling to validate the pack (included in
_packtools/)
❗ What the AI did NOT make: the mods
Every mod in this pack is the work of a human developer who deserves the credit for it. This pack is a curation and configuration of their work, not a replacement for it. Please support the mod authors — the pack is nothing without them. 💛
🚧 This is a WORK IN PROGRESS
It is playable and stable as of this release, but:
- ⚖️ Balance is largely untested at scale. Some quests may reward too much or too little.
- 🎲 The quest book is generated, so a handful of entries may reference items in odd ways or sit in a slightly wrong act.
- 📉 Later acts are thinner than earlier ones.
- 🐞 Expect bugs. Please report them rather than assuming they're intended.
If you want a polished, hand-tuned, years-in-development experience, there are excellent packs that are exactly that. This one is an experiment in how far AI can take a modpack — and an honest look at where it still falls short.
📋 14 MODS EXCLUDED
Their authors don't permit pack redistribution, so they can't be bundled here. Add them manually for the full experience:
- Hexerei
- Structory
- Structory: Towers
- Towers of the Wild Modded
- Better Weaponry
- Entity Culling
- Not Enough Animations
- Falling Leaves
- Bad Wither No Cookie - Reloaded
- Fantasy Origin Pack
- Witchcraft Origins
- Ice and Fire: Curios and Trinkets
- Dungeons And Villages: Deeper and Darker
- Simple Structures: Ad Astra
These are their authors' calls to make, and worth respecting — each one is a link away and drops straight into your mods folder. 💛
🗺️ What This Pack Is
📦 333 Mods · 🌌 27 Dimensions · 💀 86 Bosses · 🏰 811 Structures · 🎒 36,222 Items
Sundered Realms is a kitchen-sink adventure and progression pack with teeth. Built around exploration and combat first, with full tech and magic trees underneath for when you want to build instead of bleed.
📖 The Quest Book — 921 Quests Across 47 Chapters
Not a checklist. A guided route from punching your first tree to killing the last thing standing, organised into seven Acts, each split into three stages:
🌱 Foothold — arrive, get equipped, learn what this act is about ⚡ Ascent — the mid-tier content and the lesser bosses 🔥 Reckoning — the climax, which gates the next act
| Act | What It Is |
|---|---|
| 🪓 I — Ashfall | Survive the first nights. Iron, enchanting, your first dungeon, the Nether. |
| ⛏️ II — Beneath | Down is its own progression. The Undergarden, Alex's Caves, the Otherside. |
| ☁️ III — The Golden Sky | Four Aether mods stacked into one long climb. Dungeons with rules, not health bars. |
| 🌲 IV — The Twilight | A closed forest that physically blocks you until each boss falls. Naga → Lich → Hydra → Snow Queen. |
| 🔮 V — Arcana | Five parallel magic systems that share nothing. Go deep on one or stay weak in all. |
| ⚙️ VI — The Forge | Create, Mekanism, Thermal, AE2. Automate the boring part. |
| ☠️ VII — The Cataclysm | Nothing here is balanced around you. |
Every mod worth playing gets its own progression line inside the act where you'd actually meet it — 91% of quests use modded content, not vanilla filler. 📚 In-book explanations cover the major mods, so you're never staring at an unfamiliar machine wondering where to start.
💰 An Economy That Isn't Just Coins
Three currency tiers — 🥉 Sundered Marks, 🥈 Silver Sovereigns and 👑 Gold Crowns, at 16:1 — earned from quests and sold goods. 🏪 The Exchange buys your surplus and sells you things worth having, from torches up to Enderite.
💀 The Dangerous Part
This is where the pack earns its name.
🧟 Mobs Break In
Walls are a delay, not a defence. A third of hostile mobs will 🕳️ tunnel through your base to reach you. Others 🪜 place ladders and pillar over whatever you built. They pick up dropped gear and use it. They open doors — and break them when locked out.
🛡️ Your machines and chests are protected, and obsidian is a genuinely meaningful building material again — but a dirt hut will not save you.
🌕🩸 Blood Moons
Every three to five nights, the moon comes up red. Spawn rates jump 3.5×, mobs are forced to the surface, and the horde converges on you — and a third of that horde digs.
You will learn to hear it coming. 🔊
🐉 Eighty-Six Bosses
☠️ Cataclysm's Ender Guardian, Ignis, Scylla and the Ancient Remnant 🌲 The Twilight Forest's full ladder from the Naga to the Snow Queen 🌑 Bosses of Mass Destruction's Night Lich, Void Blossom and Obsidilith 👑 The Valkyrie Queen 🐲 Ice and Fire's dragons, ageing from hatchling to something that ends you 🗿 Mowzie's hand-animated set-pieces
Every one has a pattern to learn. Every one will kill you until you learn it. 💀
🧭 A World Worth Walking
Structure generation has been completely rebalanced — 335 structure sets rewritten, spacing halved and every generation seed made unique, which fixed a subtle conflict where dozens of structure types were silently competing for the same chunks and never spawning.
📈 The result: roughly 4× the structure density. Dungeons, towers, sunken cities, ruined citadels and taverns are things you trip over, not things you hunt for.
🎁 Lootr means every chest is per-player. Your friend gets their own copy of every drop — no racing, no "who grabbed the netherite".
