The premise: Pink Diamond was never shattered. Instead she faked her own death and fled to Earth, but was caught by White Diamond and stripped of her powers and memories, turned into a common quartz soldier. The Crystal Gem rebellion still happened but without Pink's sacrifice, the Diamonds launched the corruption blast early — wiping out almost every gem on Earth. Thousands of years later, a small band of surviving Crystal Gems and a hidden human settlement have built a new civilization from the ruins, trying to restore the corrupted gems and resist a new Homeworld invasion force sent to finally claim Earth for good.
