Strangepocalypse on Craft

Minecraft is postapocalyptic; let's just make that clear. All the zombies had to come from somewhere.

What happens when 6 (more or less) apocalypses happen all at the same time and magicians are the survivors? You get a Strangepocalypse.

Biologically engineered creepers demolish the world in new unseen ways while mutant creatures start wrecking face.

Cyborg and "human" zombies roam the nights in hoards.

Rifts to other dimensions threaten the stability of the universe.

Vampires challenge humanity in a high stakes clash for power.

Everything is made worse by an occasional blood moon that makes survival a challenge.

And in the End... yeah we don't talk about the End.

You, the Next Builder, must take back control, but at what cost?

Genetic augmentation can grant you the strength you need to fight on, if you see the human genome as a limitation.

Cybernetics can offer great strength to fight the hoards, albeit with some side effects. (Mom!  Get the immunosuppressants!)

Learning how to exploit rifts and dimensional doors can offer endless adventure or a safe haven from the world, even if man was not made to meddle with such things.

Siding with vampire hunters can offer many benefits, though walking the path of the vampire can allow one to find greater strength at a cost.

Most importantly, magic arts can offer ways to untold power. Thaumaturgy allows you to bend the word to your whim in exchange for your sanity. Blood magic twists the body and its essence into tools for dominating the world. Lastly, witchcraft is a great practice for wielding the unnatural arts against an unnatural world... or your fellow humans. (Oh yeah, general wizardry and mystical agriculture exists too... Those are actually pretty good!  You can get tons of spell books in dimensional doors for the wizard one.)

There will come a day when you will lose your humanity. Will your humanity be taken from you, or will you give it away freely?

(Dude that's kinda edgy. I'm just here for the scp mod, a few decorations, and the free hats.)

Mystcraft Update

With a few additional mods, Mystcraft is now easier to get into and is more powerful than ever. Create your own custom dimensions to gather a surplus of resources or to just marvel at the view. Just... Be sure to bring a book linked to your dimension of origin.

 Tips

• There are 3 main world types: normal, lost city, and the wasteland.
• The lost city, if not chosen as a world type, can still be accessed by building a structure around a bed (see the lost cities mod for details).  This lost city is much more dangerous though, as it is indicative of a world moments after the apocalypse.
• SCP-914 has a few custom recipes for magic mods. And they said putting organic matter in the clockworks was a bad idea. Pfft.
• Having an energy condenser chest and a reliable source of resources is a good way to get powerful.
• If you find it difficult escaping the End, jump off the island! It will not kill you; you will instead fall into the Overworld. There is fall damage though. That will kill you.
• On a related note to the previous tip, you can learn how to fly! Many mods have a way to do this, including Vampirism, Genetics Reborn, and late-game Thaumic Additions. You could also get an elytra, but that may be easier said than done.
• Evil minions can be summoned to mine for you! Simply press m (depending on key bindings) to commit evil once for 2 levels. Once this happens 4 times, you can get a wand to control your new minions. Wand controls: Right click with it to summon up to 4 minions, press m while holding the wand to bring up the minion menu, right click on a chest from a distance to assign minions to that chest, and left click close to the minions to make them work faster.
• If you want to learn a mod's magic, odds are that a craftable book exists that can show you how. Use the Just Enough Items menu to find how to make them.
• You can turn a sheep into an ore sheep by giving it weakness, feeding it a diamond, and then letting it eat the ore block you want it to grow off the ground. They regrow their ore wool by grazing off of stone, cobblestone, gravel, etc. Be sure to replace the stone over time. Shear with a pickaxe.
