• The Mimicer: The definitive star of the show. A horrific, stretched entity that takes the form of players and animals. It doesn't just chase you—it leaves cryptic messages, mimics player nametags, and smiles at you from the pitch black.

• The One Who Watches: You are never alone. This entity stalks the borders of your render distance. It won't just attack; it actively hijacks your chat log, sending chilling messages like "I see you," "Look behind you," and "Why are you running?" right into your chat box.

This pack utilizes an immersive audio-hijack setup powered by Simple Voice Chat.

• Voice Theft Mechanics: Creatures like the Revervox and The Mimic Dweller actively listen to your microphone. If you separate from your friends in a dark cave, these monsters will record your actual voice clips and play them back in the dark to lure your friends into a trap.

• Sound Physics Remastered: Experience terrifyingly realistic sound reverberation. Screams echo realistically down mine shafts, and footsteps on wood planks above you let you know exactly what is walking around on your roof.

🌲 AN IMMERSIVE, DEAD WORLD

• True Darkness: Vanilla night is gone. When the sun sets, or when you descend into a cave, it is pitch black. Without a flashlight or a depleting torch, you are completely blind.

• Sanity & Paranoia: Prolonged exposure to the dark or being near entities drains your sanity. You will experience auditory and visual hallucinations, sudden fog closings, and random blackouts where all lights vanish.

• SecurityCraft & Base Defense: To give yourself a fighting chance, you have access to security cameras, reinforced blocks, and retinal scanners to turn your home into a fortified safehouse against the things outside.

• Corpse Retrieval: When you inevitably fall victim to the terrors of the night, your items don't float. They stay on a realistic corpse. You must venture back into the dark to retrieve your gear from your own dead body.

⚙️ SERVER & ATERNOS SETUP GUIDE

This pack was built from the ground up to be 100% compatible with free server hosting like Aternos by focusing on script-based and visual horror rather than block-breaking, lag-inducing AI.

🛑 CRITICAL SERVER CONFIGURATION:

To make sure the modpack runs smoothly and doesn't glitch out during intense jumpscares, apply these settings to your server panel:

1. Enable Command Blocks: Go to your server options and toggle Command Blocks to ENABLED / TRUE. This is required for The One Who Watches and other chat-log manipulation scripts to function.

2. Allow Flight: Change allow-flight to TRUE in your server.properties. When entities trigger high-speed panic runs or jumpscares, this prevents Aternos from accidentally kicking players for "speed-hacking" or lagging.

3. View Distance: Set your server's view distance to 6 or 7. This keeps server RAM low while forcing the terrifying fog to close in tightly around the players.

4. Voice Chat Port Fix: For Simple Voice Chat, go to config/voicechat/voicechat-server.properties while the server is offline. Change port = 24454 to your server's unique 5-digit port number (or set it to -1 for dynamic allocation).
