Dark magic is shunned by those with weak wills and poor stomachs. Fortunately, I am not such an individual. Unfortunately, It is for such reasons that I was unjustly cast out of society by the High Mage Council, and have been forced to fend for myself in the wilderness.

They took everything I had, save for a soul torch that I managed to convince them was a keepsake, and I was left with nothing but a note:

“Eternal darkness in five moons time.”

Spirits and Shadows is a hardcore magic modpack with unique difficulty mechanics, inspired by Permafrost. You'll fight against an eternal night and the monsters therein, while using the same magic you were banished for pioneering to fight for your survival.

You’ll have five days to prepare for the moon’s permanent suspension in the sky. With such a magical event comes magical darkness, that is not only darker than usual, but will choke out all your precious light sources.

But where there’s darkness, there’s monsters! Face a cast of remixed foes that spread darkness, hide in the shadows, and ruin your day. But these shadowy foes have a weakness. Expose them to light, burn their flesh! Fire is your friend, as usual.

Malum is a great mod with a lot of content, but what if it was all-encompassing? Spirits and Shadows does just that, brining a myriad of magical implements from several other magic mods under Malum’s domain.

Not everything is Malumified, but the magic mods that didn’t get touched by Malum still have had their recipes improved, allowing the player to utilize strategies they may not have even considered otherwise.

A header that reads: "Other Important Items"

Quest books. There sure is one, alright! It’s full of quests written in-character, to get you into the story and the mind of the main character. That’s you, by the way.

100 days support! People are doing that these days, right? Well, it’s pretty hard to do to a challenge such as this when the moon is stuck in the sky, so I’ve added a tool that keeps track of the time. You can craft it, or give it to yourself at the start of the game with this command: /give @s contenttweaker:hundred_day_clock
