Description
Souls of Avarice
A modern port of GreedyCraft, rebuilt for Minecraft 1.20.1.

GreedyCraft was one of the largest questlines ever built for Minecraft 1.12.2, and it never made the jump to a modern version. Souls of Avarice is that pack ported to 1.20.1 — the same story and progression, with lost mods swapped for modern equivalents and affected chapters rewritten to match.
Experimental. This is a long-running passion project and still rough in places. Bugs and crashes go on the GitHub issue tracker; quick questions go in Discord.

- The full questline — Main Questline, Boss Hunter, Greedy Craft, Repeatables, Challenges, The Aether, Industrial Age, and the Epilogue.
- Custom quest engine — written from scratch for this pack, since existing quest mods couldn't handle the size without frame drops and save bloat.
- Three pack modes — Casual, Adventure, and Expert, each with its own difficulty curve and questline.
- Tech progression — Applied Energistics, industrial automation, and large-scale factory building.
- Magic — Botania, the Aether, and other arcane systems tied into the questline.
- Dimensions — Twilight Forest and more.
- Shaders included — Complementary preinstalled, plus
soa_radianceas a lighter option. Both toggleable in-game, and any external shader pack works. - Modern QoL — JEI, EMI tooltips, waystones, updated HUDs, and current performance options.
- Rebalanced — every ported chapter was retuned for 1.20.1.
