Description

In a time where people live in fear of the undead, vampires terrorize the streets at night, powerful warlocks rule from high up in their towers and legends of mythical creatures instill fear in the hearts of adventurers, you have the power to change the world forever.

 

 

SoulsFall is a medieval fantasy RPG modpack set in the medieval times, with limited tech and some magic in terms of spells.

 

 

Main features of the modpack:

Combat:

- Fast-paced combat with new movement mechanics

- Enemy resistances and highly resilient undead

- Headshot system

- New combat mechanics such as shield parrying

- Tons of new types of weapons and armor, some of which have special abilities

- Highly customisable tools and weapons from Tinker's Construct

- Magic spells and classes

- Vampirism and Lycanthropy

- Highly challenging bosses and mythical creatures

 Leveling:

- Classes such as stealth archer, warrior and archaeologist

- Magic classes with a leveling system

- Improvable skills

- New skills such as armorer and weaponsmith

- Enhanced farming system with improvable crops

Locations:

- Massive structures such as castles, airships, nether cities and even volcanoes

- Over 90 new biomes and beautiful terrain generation if you're using Climatic Biomes 2

- Revamped nether with new flora

- Custom dungeons with unique bosses and npcs

- New illager structures

- Twilight Forest dimension with special improved bosses

- Tons of new types of food and plants

- Dozens of new ores and materials

- Unique encounters with assasins

 Vanilla features:

- Ugly villagers have been replaced with humans and have new interactions and dialogue

- Expanded enchanting system (WIP)

- Crafting of weapons and armors require a certain level of proficiency or else they will be of a lower quality

- No more punching wood and early-game tools

- More difficult hunger

- Darker environments

- New AI and abilities for vanilla mobs (Zombies will actively hunt players and track them down using sight, smell and sound)

- Possible illager raids in villagers

- Extremely difficult vanilla bosses with new abilities

 Others:

- Recurring sieges and mob events

- Colony building system

- Tons of custom npcs, enemies, factions, dialogue and even companions

- Quests that can be obtained from npcs

 

 

 

Important things to note before playing (Must read!)

- Optifine is highly recommended for its dynamic lights feature and better performance

- Early-game crafting of wooden and stone tools has been reworked (Get flint or craft Tinker's Construct tools)

- Crafting and usage of torches has been reworked (Light torches using a fire bow or using another torch)

- A saw is required to craft wooden planks

- Hunger is now a major concern

- Multiple blocks can be excavated at once but this consumes hunger

- Nights and caves are pitch black

- Mobs can actively track you using their sense of smell and sound, and are attracted to light

- Mobs will raid your base

- The undead are EXTREMELY RESILIENT and may require fire, holy weapons or holy water to kill them!

- The starter chest is highly recommended

 

 

How to get started with magic:

- Craft the Desperate Icon

- Get the Green Knight class

- Craft an XP table and sacrifice XP to level up

- Open your class panel (J) and choose your spells and abilities

- To switch to another class, eat a bread of forgetfulness and use any of the other icons (Sun or Moon icon)

- You can also switch between known classes by using a diamond dust

How to become a vampire or a vampire hunter:

- To become a vampire, get bitten by a vampire and wait for a day

- Once you are a vampire, you can level up and unlock new abilities through your skills tab(P)

- To become a hunter, craft a garlic injection to become immune to vampirism

- Find a vampire hunter trainer's house in a village and use the garlic injection on the injection chair

- Similarly, you can level up and learn new abilities through the skills tab(P)

To get flint tools:

- Get plant fiber from grass

- Get sticks from leaves

- Get flint from gravel ( 3 gravel can be used to make 1 flint)

- Make a plant twine from 3 plant fibres

- Get flaked flint from striking stone

- Combine to make a flint hatchet

To make torches:

- Get coal, plant twine and sticks

- Craft an unlit torch

- To light an unlit torch, craft a firebow and right-click a placed unlit torch with it. A few attempts may be necessary and this consumes sticks.

- Torches will also go out underwater

 

- How to deal with the undead:

- Use a fire stick to burn them

- Hide from them and avoid making too much noise

- Run from them

- Seek refuge in a village

Upcoming features:

- New dungeons all the way till the Wall In The North

- New factions such as the dwarves, golems, mandrils, orcs

- Custom structures in the End and maybe the Nether

- More assasins and bosses

- More companions and npcs in villagers

- More settlements and kingdoms
