Soul Fractal

Soul Fractal is an exploration and combat based modpack that I threw together upon a friends request. The "Soul" in the name is due to the packs nature. I have implemented a system that requires you to gather Souls to progress reach the end. When you kill an enemy there is a 1% change for it to drop a soul.

Weak Souls can make Energized souls
Energized Souls can make Unstable Souls

Unstable Souls are used to make an item to power the End Portal"

Some Basic Things To Note: (pack tutorial WIP)

1. The Epic Fight Mod is in this pack, I HIGHLY recommend using when fighting enemies-- The mod give your character AMAZING animations when attacking as well as some other game mechanics, check out their mod for more detail (Epic Fight Mod)

2. End Remastered is a mod that works to make your journey to the end a bit more interesting. You will need to gather 11 different eyes and 1 powered core to reach the end. All the the eye can be found in various dungeons and structures, some may drop from enemies. For more detail on the mod check out their page (End Remastered)

- The Powered core, This item will now require souls to make, you obtain souls through slaughter of many things.

3. Enchanting has been reworked thanks to apotheosis, it is quite easy to follow in game and for more detail check out their page (Apotheosis)

INSTALLATION

Automatic Install

CURSEFORGE LAUNCHER:

This is the easiest way to install Soul Fractal. Link your Minecraft game, go to browse modpacks, find "Soul Fractal" and install, click play, that's it!

If you do not have the Curseforge app you can install it here: (https://curseforge.overwolf.com/)

Manual Install (advanced users only):

FORGE: The latest version of Forge for 1.16.6 (36.1.4- 36.1.6 have been tested) should work, but in the case it breaks an older mod in this modpack, the version I have currently packaged with the modpack is 1.16.5-36.1.4

PARAMETERS: From what I was able to test, the default 1GB of RAM that is allocated is not enough. I recommend allocating 3 to 4GB's of RAM. You can do this by going to Launch Options, enabling JVM Arguments, and changing "-Xmx1G" to "-Xmx4G". My JVM Arguments looks like this:

-Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M

FILES: (For manual install using the server pack only, which can also be used for client as well) Make sure there is nothing in your Mods or Config folders, then copy the folders over from this modpack into your Minecraft directory.

Optifine: OPTIFINE is not compatible with some of the mods in this pack, the mod authors are working on a fix for this
