So I put together this magic modpack for Minecraft that's all about figuring stuff out on your own. No questbook holding your hand through everything. I've packed it with mods you probably haven't seen a million times before, the kind that deserve way more attention than they get. There's plenty of room to experiment, and I'm planning to keep adding more as I find cool stuff.
What's In Here
These are the mods doing the heavy lifting. Here's what they're about:
Pastel - Think Spectrum vibes but for Fabric/NeoForge. Lots of colorful progression and experimentation, but it does its own thing too.
Starcatcher - You're basically doing rituals with the stars to pull down some serious cosmic power.
Malum - This one's dark and creepy in the best way. Occult spirits, weird rituals, very thaumcraft-esque. Seriously, don't sleep on this mod.
Hexerei - Full witch aesthetic. Brew potions, mess with poppets, fly around on broomsticks. Cozy coven energy.
Hexalia - Draw ritual circles right on the ground and use nature wands in real-time. Feels really hands-on.
Etheria - All about life magic. Spells, rituals, dungeons, skill trees. Like if thaumcraft was less dark and more about growth.
Companions - Summon weird little buddies like Shade Maws, Imps, magical puppets, even smart frogs. They've got your back.
Critters and Companions - Just cute fantasy animals you can befriend and ride around. What's not to love?
Psi - If you like programming, you'll love this. Build spells using block coding for super precise custom magic.
Bosses Rise - Absolutely massive boss fights. We're talking Cataclysm-level insanity.
Why Bother?
The fun part is finding weird combos between these mods yourself. Maybe boost your rituals with celestial stuff, or bring a whole army of pets to a boss fight. If you're sick of the same old magic packs everyone plays, this should scratch that itch. I'll keep updating it with new mods as they pop up.
