Description

Smoochh’s Serenity is a 1.21.1 NeoForge pack built around the kind of survival world you can actually settle into for a long time. The focus is on building a home, exploring a less-crowded world, cooking and farming, meeting useful villages, and gradually turning your base into something bigger with Create machinery, transport, logistics, and power.

The pack is intentionally broad without being a kitchen-sink pack. Most major systems have a clear role, progression is kept readable, structures are spaced out so exploration still matters, and there is plenty to do whether you prefer building, automation, combat, farming, transportation, or just making a nice town with friends.

Key Features

  • Create-focused progression — Create is the main technology backbone, supported by carefully chosen addons for machinery, trains, logistics, industry, electricity, vehicles, and automation rather than several competing tech systems.
  • A world worth settling in — Serene Seasons, Geophilic, Ecologics, Climate Rivers, Underground Rivers, YUNG’s Cave Biomes, Upgrade Aquatic, Deeper and Darker, and other world improvements add variety without completely replacing vanilla Minecraft’s identity.

  • Expanded villages and trading — improved villages, new villager professions, guards, smarter farmers, villager comfort, trade cycling, Trading Post, and Create-based commerce make settlements more useful without turning them into free resource machines.

  • Food actually matters — Farmer’s Delight and its addons, Create Cafe, Create Confectionery, Brewin’ & Chewin’, Central Kitchen, Slice & Dice, and other food mods give farming, cooking, restaurants, and food automation a real place in the pack.

  • Lots of ways to travel — build trains, ships, aircraft, Create Aeronautics contraptions, off-road vehicles, minecarts, gliders, and more as your world grows.

  • Expanded combat without replacing vanilla — new weapons, shields, armor, firearms, Create Big Cannons, artifacts, spells, equipment qualities, and improved hostile encounters add options while keeping normal Minecraft combat relevant.

  • Long-term base building — a large decoration selection, furniture, storage systems, Pretty Pipes, Tom’s Simple Storage, Create logistics, contraption terminals, and automation tools support everything from small houses to large industrial towns.

  • Reworked enchanting progression — normal enchanting and loot stay useful early on, while the Advanced Enchanting Infuser is pushed into late game and requires Netherite.

  • Multiplayer-friendly QoL — Lootr, Gravestones, visual crafting, improved inventories, better tool swapping, multiplayer storage/logistics options, and dozens of smaller fixes make shared worlds much easier to live in.

  • Visual and audio polish — improved animations, particles, footsteps, weather, clouds, ambient sound, seasons, entity models, and optional MakeUp Ultra Fast shaders. Shaders are included as an option but are disabled by default.

Getting Started

Your first day can mostly be played like normal Minecraft. Find somewhere you actually want to live, get basic food and shelter going, and keep an eye out for villages and smaller structures while you explore. Structures are intentionally more spread out more than in many modpacks, so you do not need to rush from landmark to landmark.

Once you have iron and a stable base, start looking into Create. Early mechanical power, basic processing, storage, and farming automation. Farming and cooking are also worth investing in early, especially in multiplayer where a shared kitchen and food supply become useful quickly.

As your base grows, you can branch out depending on what sounds fun: trains and logistics, electricity, aircraft, larger factories, trading, exploration, combat gear, ships, or building out an entire settlement. The pack is designed so those systems can grow alongside each other instead of forcing everyone down one progression path.

Server & Requirements

Minecraft: 1.21.1
Mod Loader: NeoForge 21.1.248
Java: Java 21

Recommended client memory: 8 GB RAM allocated to Minecraft. The pack includes several performance mods and is tuned with large worlds and Create builds in mind, but performance may vary.

Optional JVM Arguments

Smoochh’s Serenity was tested with Java 21 using Generational ZGC. These arguments are optional, but can help reduce noticeable garbage-collection pauses on larger worlds:

-XX:+UseZGC -XX:+ZGenerational

Smoochh’s Serenity is built with multiplayer compatibility. Loot, storage, villages, transportation, automation, and progression have all been chosen with shared worlds in mind, and the pack can be played either through normal server hosting or a dedicated server. For long-running servers, backing up the world before updating the modpack is strongly recommended.

MakeUp Ultra Fast shaders are available but disabled by default, so players can decide whether they want the extra visuals or maximum performance.
