This pack was put together with the intention of just making it easier to install for a big group of people intending to play on the SMP this is to be used on. It's not like I can stop you from using it if you are not in that group of people, nor would I dissuade you at all. It is, after all, still a Minecraft modpack.
It is relatively centered around the create mod, with some other mods, like quark and ftb chunks, to add some other qol things alongside mods like chisels and bits for added "creativity potential."
If you know how to install mods to a regular Minecraft instance, go ahead and do that. This modpack is built for forge 36.x.x on minecraft 1.16.5.
Otherwise, I would recommend using the CurseForge app:

after installation, open the curseforge app (it might be sitting in your system tray if it closed), then click on minecraft and go through it's setup
finally, click "search modpacks" and search this great modpack
click "install," wait for it to finish, and press play
ez win ez life
it also will automagically update the modpack to the newest version
