Overview
Slunky's Big Dig is a lightweight, personalized modpack all about expanding parts of Minecraft. Its core areas are focused on the exploration and mining aspects of the game. It's not really under a specific theme except for keeping most of vanilla's style.
This pack mostly builds on top of vanilla. There isn't anything major that's changed (aside from The End), no nerfs or big reworks to existing items, nothing that makes a player feel overly confused when first playing. It's simply 1.7.10 Minecraft strapped with a surplus of new content to check out. This is a pack that supports just about every different playstyle of Minecraft as much as it can!
There is also little information mods integrated as an interesting way to let you discover content at a slower pace and experiment with them. A recipe guidebook (press G to display) lists most recipes and items featured, not all however. Most mods featured do have external guides as well in case you get stuck.
The best way to approach this pack is to treat it how it is: A small untidy modpack cobbled together. It's a hodgepodge of random different things that all somewhat fit within the vanilla style. It doesn't focus heavy on balancing things or making things consistent with the base game, it's just something to sit down and enjoy!

Other Information
Enable the Biomes O' Plenty world type for the best experience!
This pack is still relatively early in development! This means the pack hasn't been fully tested! However, most of the pack up until the End and Aether content has been explored for the most part!
Everything should be multiplayer safe, but requires some configuring to do so! Mainly requires disabling most client-side mods in order to properly run. Currently there is only the singleplayer version, however a server pack will be added once multiplayer tests have been fully ironed out.
Future plans for the pack is to eventually flesh out the achievement system, add some more fun features in some areas that aren't touched on, patch up some recipes, and also to remove content that's currently unnecessary/unusable.
No, the title wasn't an innuendo, just so happened to sound similar.
This covers just about everything! I hope you enjoy your Big Dig experience!
