Inspired by Slightly Vanilla Flavored and Slightly Cinnamon Flavored, this modpack lies roughly somewhere in-between the two, but also ventures into territory not explored by either.
SLASC IV (or Super Lotsa Added Stuff Craft - Improved Vanilla) is a collection of carefully hand-picked mods that add meaningful and original features to Minecraft. The goal of SLASC IV is to stay true to Minecraft's unique atmosphere by only allowing mods that have compatible textures and interesting new game mechanics.
I've tried my best to compile mods in such a way that:
- There are very few (if any) overlapping features between mods. If one mod adds a map mechanic, for instance, there will not be another similar mechanic from another mod.
- The game is still balanced; Minecraft's base items and features are still relevant (and as above, do not overlap with any mods).
- No tech. Minecraft was always medieval-esque to me. I want to keep that aesthetic.
- There is a lot to explore, create, and fight. If you're a min-maxer like I am; if you're a builder, or an immersion-seeker--whatever you are--this mod is intended to make you feel more of what you originally felt when you started playing minecraft.
