This is a 1.18 Skyblock modpack!. It is focused on tech progression. Currently it now contains many quests to guide you through the game. The Mechanical Age is back, which someon might know from SF1. But it is heavily improved due to the new Create Mod. In addition, the Origins Mod was implemented. At the start you have the choice between 3 different island variants: Oak Sapling, Bamboo and Fishing.
Ages:
The Beginning:
In the age you start to build your island. You collect wood and dirt. You will also need water. Later you will be able to build a cobblestone generator. By using sieves you can get other materials from dirt and grave. A mob farm is also essential. After you have received your first iron, a new age opens up for you. Here you will also be able to produce lava and build a nether portal.
Mechanical Age:
Check out the endless possibilities of the Create Mod. Produce kinetic energy and use it to process your materials.
Steam Age:
In the chapter you are well on the way to industrialization. The way to electrical energy is no longer too far. The Mod Modern Industrialisation will still be with you for a while.
Electric Age - Power:
From here the gates to practically every technology mod are open to you.
Storage:
Here you will learn how to use Tom's Storage and later: Applied Energistics.
Magic & adventuring:
There are other chapters which are guiding you through some magic mods and how to reach other dimensions.
Seasons:
It is important to know that there are seasons in your world. This has some advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, some plants cannot grow in winter, on the other hand, you can get snow and ice during this time of the year.
Good to know:
- Sodium + Shader Support out of the box
- Great performance, should run fine on older devices (6 GB RAM, GTX 960)
- works very well on office PCs (e.g. Ryzen 3 4100GE, 8 GB RAM and no dedicated GPU)

Many thanks to TeamAOF, some of the quest chapters have been carried over from AOF5.
The non-integration of brass as a progression gate ultimately killed my enjoyment of this pack. Can't alloy it in the smeltery, or the quest-showcased alloying mod that seemed to be positioned to support Create, can't mill ingots or crush them with an anvil or any other lower-tech way to make them than with the crusher (which needs the mechanical crafters, which need brass casings). Overall, I feel like this pack holds back in various places just to funnel progression in a certain direction and that creates a lot of frustration as the player dives through recipe chain after recipe chain to find something, anything, to let them move forward.
In reply to bloodynex:
This pack is very Modern Industrialization oriented. Create here is a tool for progression into MI and early Steam Age automation.
In terms of bugs, v 0.6.0 is currently in works and will bring i.a. better Hephaestus integration.
Thanks for your suggestion about Brass!
Encountered an issue when leaving a team, the Progression quest disappeared from the quest book.
Is there a means of 'resetting' a player as if they had just joined the server for the first time?
In reply to rowenwolfe:
You would need to remove their player data from the save folder.
For example, relative to the world save folder:
Many thanks! Looking forward to future updates!
Hey guys! Got something strange and can't get rid of it. I guess i pressed some kind of button which caused green faded texture around some blocks like oak crucible and crafting table slab with energy or smth in it, also big red 360 μs/t thing above the player... Pressed like every button but can't turn it off((

Solved

It seems you have triggered the TPS lag overlay from Observable (default keybind: r).
That overlay can be very useful if you need to find the source of sudden TPS lags!
How do i get Mermaid Gems from Spectrum? Quest Book tells me that i can get them via Botania but cant find anything in Botania Quest-Line or a Recipe via Search.
In reply to RunebertManderville:
There is a recipe in Botania to craft the Mermaids Brush. It can look like seagrass depending on Spectrum progression.
Then plant it underwater and wait. A Vacuum Hopper is recommended.
I like the mod pack so far. It's some interesting mechanics with the mixing of different liquids to get different stone and such. I particularly like the addition of the Create mod. I've never tried that mod before, and it's got a lot of fun and interesting in game mechanics.

Thanks for your great feedback.
The Tinkers Construct pickaxes seem to mine very slow. Even with a high level of haste.
In reply to gregv21v:
I know, TConstruct is still not well implemented and it has many issues.
I will try to fix this in the next update.
You would help me a lot if you could report issues on the mod github page: https://github.com/Alpha-s-Stuff/TinkersConstruct/issues
Is there anyway to get Kelp besides looting?
I have a question, when trying to play this mod pack on a server, I just get a standard over world and not the void world, which level type custom do I need?
In reply to foxy_1609:
server.properties
level-type=skyblock
gportal
level-type: custom
level-type-custom: skyblock
EDIT: @creators why don't you provide this in the description? Depending on the hosting provider or self hosting solution the server.properties gets changed / overwritten...
Have a Problem. The Witherproof Blocks/Glass von Kibe and The Wither Proof Obsidian from Industrial Revolution arent stoping it from eating through but i noticed that it only happens when i damage it.
Any Solutions? Maybe Update needed?
Modpack Version: 0.5.6a (Curse Forge)
Edit: Broke through Bedrock too.....
In reply to RunebertManderville:
thanks for reporting this issue, maybe try to update to v0.5.7a, but not sure if it solves the issue, I will take a look at it asap.
How can i get rid of the special skybox? It's messed up with my shaders.
