── CHANGELOG ──

☠ SILENT CITIES — 2.4.6 — Fewer Fires, Same Smoke ☠

"Performance work continues. Some mods were added. Some were taken out back. The zombies leave the horses alone now."

📻 Audio — MORE VIBES

Four new fire tracks have been added to the atmospheric playlist. Track weights have also been adjusted. The silence between the dread is now a little longer, but when the bass drops, it hits much harder. Enjoy the new noise while you hide in the fog.

⚙️ Performance — Still Trying

Two new performance mods have been added: Kerria and Ixeris. They are supposed to help. They have been added in good faith. A large number of existing mods have also been updated. Some of those updates may fix things. Some may introduce new things to fix later. That is the modpack lifecycle. We live in it.

🧟 Zombie Horses — No Longer Prey

Zombies were attacking zombie horses. This made no sense thematically and was also a small but measurable source of unnecessary entity interaction overhead. It has been fixed. The zombie horses roam free. Nobody is sure why zombie horses exist in the apocalypse but they do, and they are now safe from their own kind.

🗑️ Dead Weight — Removed

Several mods that had been sitting disabled in the pack have been removed entirely. They were not doing anything. They were not going to do anything. They were just there, taking up space in the mod list and causing quiet confusion. They are gone now. The mod list is slightly shorter. This is a good thing.

⏱️ TickAccelerate — Back, Cautiously

TickAccelerate has been re-added. The theory is that it helps recover ticks when the server falls behind rather than letting the lag compound. Whether it helps more than it costs is still being evaluated. If things break, say something.

🎈 Breezy — Hot Air Balloons in the End Times

Breezy has been added. You can now travel by hot air balloon. Yes, this is a survival apocalypse modpack. Yes, there are zombies everywhere. Yes, you can float peacefully above all of it in a wicker basket. Nobody is stopping you.

🧱 SimpleBlockPhysics — Shelved, For Now

Block physics was going to be added. The goal was to make floating sky bases harder to build and give construction real stakes. It was a good idea. The profiler disagreed. SimpleBlockPhysics runs every tick and does not scale well under load. It will come back when the server can afford it. Sky bases remain structurally unsound in spirit only.

🪜 Horde Stacking — Coming Back, Eventually

Zombies climbing on top of each other to breach walls and reach high ground will return. It is not in this update. The server needs to be more stable before reintroducing emergent vertical zombie infrastructure. It is planned. It is patient. So are the zombies.

📬 Dev Contact — Filed

Optimization feedback has been sent to the relevant developer. It was detailed. It was polite. Whether it will result in anything is not within our control. We have done what we can from this side of the wall.

"Same apocalypse. Slightly better framerate. One balloon. Heavier bass."
