🌿 Cave Mods — Both Gone

YUNG's Better Caves crashed the world. Its CarvingMask is not thread-safe under HariChunk's multithreaded chunk generation and was producing negative bitIndex values mid-carve. William Wythers' Caves Overhaul was brought in as a replacement. It also crashed. The caves are vanilla now. They are stable. That is enough.

🐦 FowlPlay — Disabled

FowlPlay has been temporarily disabled. Spark profiling showed its flight entities recalculating navigation paths every single tick, producing CPU overhead that scaled poorly with entity count. A bug report has been filed. Alex's Mobs covers bird variety in the meantime. Enjoy the seagulls.

🧟 Zombie AI — Lighter

Ongoing work on zombie AI behaviour has reduced its heap footprint on the server thread. It was the single largest entity tick cost in profiling. It is still being worked on. It is less bad than it was.

🐾 Mob Caps — Enforced

Hostile and passive mob counts are now capped via InControl. 80 hostile. 50 passive. The server was running uncapped. It was not happy about it. It is less unhappy now. Admins can adjust the limits in spawn.json at any time without a restart using /incontrol reload.

⏱️ TickAccelerate — Removed

I also removed the tick mod because I think it may hurt the server more than it helps right now. If you can't break blocks or anything in the newest update, just put it back into the modpack and drop a quick comment.

⚠️ Reality Check — Expectations

Don't expect too much again. It's 340 mods, Distant Horizons, Lost Cities with ancient code from 2013 or smth, a heavy custom profile, other world gen mods, and 30 plus resourcepacks.
