BACK UP YOUR SAVES BEFORE PLAYING ON THIS VERSION. THIS IS A MAJOR RELEASE THAT AFFECTS WORLD GENERATION.

At minimum, if you were to play on this version and decide to go back, you would lose all loot chests in generated chunks. Please also make sure to go through your keybinds again, as things may have changed or been added and may have created new conflicts.

 

Sharkberry Survival v1.5 is a major overhaul that affects world, structure, loot, and mob generation, and adds more new mechanics.

 

Mods added in this release:

  • Stack Refill - Replaces items in your hotbar when you've used the last item in the stack.
  • Progressive Bosses - Bosses get harder the more you kill them.
  • AtomicStryker's Infernal Mobs - Mobs now have modifiers applied to them to make combat more interesting.
  • Improved Mobs - Mobs now have improved AI and difficulty in the world now increases as time passes. This is to encourage upgrading your hearts and find resources and gear.
  • Variable Mob Height - For variety.
  • Lootr - This mod overhauls the loot system so that every player can loot chests in dungeons, making it so you can adventure with friends without fighting over loot.
  • Aquaculture 2 - This mod expands the fishing system with lots of new fish only available in certain biomes and additions to your rod.
  • Client Crafting - This should hopefully speed up crafting for those playing in multiplayer that aren't the host.
  • Craft 6 stairs instead of 4 - Self explanatory.
  • Block Variants - More blocks to build with!
  • Global Packs - This mod forces certain resource and data packs to be enabled by default. Required for certain mod configurations to work properly.
  • Biome Replacer - Helps remove biomes in datapacks that don't have easily configurable files.
  • Dungeons Enhanced - More structures!
  • Integrated Dungeons and Structures - Even more!
  • Quark - Far too many changes to list. Adds a little bit of everything.

 

Mods removed:

  • Double Doors - Feature also added by Quark.
  • Dynamic View and Better Chunk loading - Was causing internal server lag and chunks to load slower. May have been an implementation issue on my end.

 

Changes and fixes:

  • Heart Containers are now available to be obtained.
  • MineColonies' abandoned colonies should no longer spawn. This change was made due to bad world gen.
  • Creepers no longer destroy blocks. Ghasts and the Wither still do though, and Endermen still steal them.
  • Iron Golems no longer drop iron ingots to discourage mob farms and encourage exploration and interaction with other mods.
  • Mobs with block-breaking tools can now break through glass and wooden doors to try and get to you. More blocks may be whitelisted in the future.
  • Mobs can sometimes spawn with the ability to search through your chests to find equipment to attack you with.
  • Caldera, Volcanic, and Yellowstone biomes removed because I didn't feel they fit the theme. Other biomes are spawned in their place. More biome changes may happen in the future.
  • Shaders should be off by default again! Whoops, sorry about that!
