Servidor Vortex é um modpack de aventura com uma progressão baseada em missões e uma história principal, onde o desenrolar é mostrado conforme progride nos mods de aventura, como Cataclysm e Twilight Forest. Existem as classes, como se fossem de RPG, onde limita o jogador em quais mods ele irá progredir, como Druida podendo usar Botania e alguns aspectos de Ars Nouveau e assim por diante.
