A quick summary would go as follows:
If Tekkit/FTB wasn't as niche, giving more options and freedom of choice. Made with multiplayer in mind, ensured mods and playstyles won't conflict with one-another too much.
You want Blood Magic? You got it. No? How about Dark Magic? Easy. You would rather mess with science, well we have you covered too there, bud. Oh you want to mess around with high-level gear mostly. Yeah we have tinker's tools/silent's tools. Engineering, automation- we're circling back to science my guy. Oh we can't go to other planets yet because galacticraft and like-minded mods aren't updated yet. But don't worry, we've made sure this world is big enough for everyone! Exploring is very rewarding- but so is chilling in your base farming or mining.
Mostly a modpack started to easily manage config for everyone without everyone having to individually download/replace files/lines of code.
