SCP: The Trilogy

Modpack based on SCP Hunting

SCP: The Trilogy offers a deep dive into the SCP universe, bringing a range of iconic anomalies to life while integrating them with the gameplay mechanics of Minecraft and the Create mod. Here's a closer look at some of the SCPs you'll encounter:

SCP-173: The Sculpture

One of the most famous SCPs, SCP-173 is a hostile entity known for its ability to move at incredibly fast speeds when not observed. In SCP: The Trilogy, players will have to engage with the classic mechanic of never breaking line of sight with this statue, using the Create mod's redstone and mechanical contraptions to build automated systems that can help keep the entity contained. If players turn their back or blink, SCP-173 can attack instantly, adding a level of high-stakes tension to any containment breach.

SCP-049: The Plague Doctor

SCP-049 is a humanoid entity that believes it can "cure" individuals of the "pestilence," often resulting in the transformation of victims into reanimated corpses under its control. In SCP: The Trilogy, players will need to manage SCP-049 carefully, perhaps using automated mechanical devices to ensure it remains contained or using quarantine mechanisms to prevent it from spreading its "cure" across your base.

SCP-096: The Shy Guy

SCP-096 is a dangerous, humanoid creature that enters a violent rage if anyone views its face, either directly or in an image. In the modpack, players will need to design clever systems using the Create mod to avoid accidental sightings while containing this entity. One wrong step, and SCP-096 will relentlessly pursue the viewer, forcing players to come up with creative ways to both avoid it and survive if they trigger its rage.

SCP-682: The Hard-to-Destroy Reptile

SCP-682 is one of the most indestructible and hostile entities in the SCP universe. Known for its incredible strength and hatred for all living things, it presents an extreme challenge in the modpack. Using Create machinery, players can design elaborate traps, containment fields, and mechanical defenses to keep this destructive creature at bay. SCP-682’s tendency to escape adds an unpredictable element to gameplay, requiring constant innovation to handle its relentless attacks.

SCP-914: The Clockworks

SCP-914 is a large, clockwork machine capable of refining or degrading materials placed into it. The modpack allows players to interact with SCP-914 to upgrade items or materials. The settings of "Rough," "Coarse," "1:1," "Fine," and "Very Fine" are faithfully recreated, allowing players to experiment with different inputs to see how the machine transforms items in unexpected ways. Combining this with the Create mod opens up opportunities for automation and mass production of refined materials, adding an interesting layer of complexity to the gameplay.

SCP-939: With Many Voices

SCP-939 are predatory creatures that mimic human speech to lure victims. These entities are blind but rely on sound to hunt. In SCP: The Trilogy, players can use the Create mod to build noise-dampening systems or traps to avoid detection. Automated defenses and clever use of the Create mod’s mechanical arms, belts, and gears can keep these entities at bay, but a simple noise can quickly turn the tables.

SCP-131: The Eyepods

SCP-131, affectionately known as the “Eyepods,” are two small, friendly entities resembling teardrops with eyes. These SCPs are non-hostile and often help players by following them around and alerting them to danger. In the modpack, they can also assist in watching over SCP-173, as their gaze prevents its movement, offering a unique way to help players manage containment breaches.

SCP-500: Panacea Pills

SCP-500 is a collection of pills capable of curing any disease or ailment. This highly valuable item is difficult to obtain in the modpack but provides a powerful tool for players in survival situations. Players can use SCP-500 to counteract dangerous effects from other SCPs, offering a lifeline during encounters with more hostile anomalies.

SCP-999: The Tickle Monster

A fan-favorite SCP, SCP-999 is a friendly, orange slime-like creature that loves to play and spread happiness. Interacting with SCP-999 can provide various buffs, such as health regeneration and resistance to damage. In SCP: The Trilogy, SCP-999 becomes a valuable companion for players seeking aid in tough combat situations or just a morale boost when dealing with the dangers of the SCP world.

Integration with Create Mod

The inclusion of the Create mod adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay. Players can use mechanical components like gears, pistons, belts, and redstone-powered automation to create complex containment systems for SCP entities. From automatic doors that slam shut during containment breaches to conveyor belts that transport materials to and from SCP-914, Create allows players to harness engineering creativity to solve the unique challenges posed by SCP anomalies.

For example:

  • SCP-173 containment: Using automated rotating cameras or light sensors that trigger when SCP-173 is no longer being observed.
  • SCP-682 defenses: Designing elaborate weapon systems, traps, and multi-layered containment procedures to slow down or contain this nigh-unstoppable creature.
  • SCP-914 automation: Using conveyor belts and sorting systems to feed SCP-914 materials, with the results sent directly into storage or production facilities.

SCP: The Trilogy is a blend of tension, creativity, and problem-solving, where the world of SCP meets the ingenuity of the Create mod, allowing for complex scenarios, thrilling survival moments, and endless possibilities for how players approach the mysteries of the SCP Foundation.
