  • 1.20.1

Additions

  • Made almost sorta like a glossary to help people find their preferred playstyles (and which Quests apply to them) in this modpack
  • Added a "Capture, Study, Eradicate" tutorial to the starting spawn area
  • Added a "Manual Horde Summon" option, so if you WANT to fight Hordes without having to wait until 5:30 a.m., you can
  • Introduced a Tactics Tracker sidebar to remind people "This largely isn't Minecraft; use ordnance/airstrikes/etc." (SHOULD work in multiplayer, but I have no other playtesters, so idk yet)
  • Added a lot more mob variety to basic (pre-Spore) Hordes
  • Added a few more Eradication Quests
  • Got a new TaCZ gun pack
  • Got some more QoL stuff:
    • A tool belt (self-explanatory)
    • An item pickup filter to toggle on/off which items you want to pick up by pressing "i" on them in your inventory
  • Got a "Crash Assistant" mod that should help pinpoint crashes better
  • Added new first-person body rendering for immersion and intuitive animations (like seeing your parkour movements in first person)
  • Added a mod to allow scanning mobs and getting entries for them by taking a photo with a camera. Will probably be the framework for Horror entries next update
  • Added some mods that only spawn at night to the whitelist for night-time spawning, so they spawn alongside Horrors now. Namely: "Sons of Sins" and "Caverns and Chasms"
  • Items that only come from mob/block drops now show which mob(s)/block(s) they drop from, instead of just appearing to have no source
  • (Probably) Added a system where when ONE player Eradicates a mob, the quest completes for all other players

Changes

  • Added some more categories to the "Playstyle Options" chapter, and vastly improved readability
  • The "Main Objectives (Crucial)" section has been renamed to "Fundamentals/Info (Useful)," and "Containment Protocol (Major Threats)" has been renamed to "Eradication (Main Objectives)"
    • Split the exploration Quests into non-mandatory "Finding Structures & Dungeons" and MANDATORY "Find & Kill Bosses" chapters
  • Sorted ammo from small → large instead of large → small in the Military Market
  • Smoke Screen Missile rebalanced:
    • Less OP: Effect weakens as smoke dissipates: 5 seconds in a 55-block radius, then 4 seconds in a 33-block radius, then 3 seconds in an 11-block radius
    • Fixed line-of-sight: Smoke now sets the player INVISIBLE for 5, 4, and 3 seconds if they're within the radii
  • Nerfed the Basic Gear Drop's Paxel from Lapis to Wood
  • Emergency Hatch moved to "Deployables"
  • Finally hooked up the Eradication logic for Spore, so they will now actually stop spawning after the final Quest is completed (this wasn't hooked up because I thought it'd be funny for my friends and I to get there, only for it not to do anything, but now that the modpack is public, it needs a working ending, lol)
  • More humanoids can drop medical supplies now, and drop rate slightly increased
  • Rewrote the backend for "CSE" Quest detection in Java, so adding new Eradication Quests should be much quicker going forward
  • Arphex bosses/mini-bosses can now only be summoned via shrines. No more random 300-health, 10-damage bosses spawning unexpectedly
  • Updated some older gun packs
  • Removed a pretty unused gun pack with a large file size that hadn't been updated in a while (guns from "The Division")
  • Computercraft (CC) intro Quest is back, but without giving you a free one; corrected some misleading CC command documentation
  • Changed it so the sky doesn't render when you're deep underground
  • Fixed aluminum so there's now one unified recipe/raw-material-source for it
    • Computers (and Mining Turtles) now require aluminum
    • Adjusted "Advanced Computer" recipe to require more complex parts
  • Made TaCZ guns deal 50% damage against players, down from 70%
  • Adjusted camera tilt during movement for a more immersive feel
  • Default FOV has been increased

Fixes

  • Fixed an InControl spawn condition bug that prevented some mobs from spawning
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Emergency Hatch from working
  • Fixed a glitch where Spore were spawning before being awakened
  • Preemptively fixed an issue causing player teams to display as "undefined" instead of their usernames
  • Hopefully fixed water not getting cleared in the bunker
  • Fixed aluminum having multiple conflicting recipes/sources
  • Accidentally downgraded to a 2-year-old version of Computercraft. Updated

Oops

  • Forgot to see if I could disable the ladder climb animation from "Not Enough Animations", as it wasn't very compatible with "Real Camera" mod, so I disabled it. I'll try to test and have it re-enabled next update if I can toggle just the ladder animation off.
