Welcome to the Scattered Dimensions, a modpack consisting of 200+ mods full of multi-dimensional creation, exploration and conquest. Dark forces are brewing against Minecraftians, causing a rift in time and space as we know it. Do you dare venture forth into the void, confronting friend and enemy alike; or will you allow the world as you know it be consumed by the ever-present darkness?

Inspired by Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons, created by dreams01, this modpack is focused primarily on exploration, action, creation and conquest in a high-fantasy setting; adding just a hint of technology for those willing to grind. With over 200+ mods actively configured to allow for the maximum amount of user exploration, as well as allowing players to showcase their creative abilities as they please — this modpack aims to whet the player's adventerous pallet and award agency over their Minecraft experience.

Many of the mods in this pack allow for users to experience both the already established core offerings from talented mod-makers, and creation of new experiences from the ground-up through powerful mods such as Custom NPCs and FTB Quests.

This pack is currently a WORK IN PROGRESS, and runs in Minecraft-v1.12.2. Over time, my aim is to improve the balance and functionality of the modpack; however, this is primarily a passion project and something I am working on in my spare time.

Features:

Create the world you want to play in — Users can utilize world generation settings from either Vanilla, Biomes O' Plenty or Open Terrain Generator to create a truly unique experience. (note: users creating worlds with Open Terrain Generator may have to manually include assets from modded content to allow for generation in Overworld dimension)

• Team up with friends or venture the world solo as you claim land and complete pre-made mod-specific quests (currently being added)!

• Create your own factions, companions, quests and more using Custom NPCs.

• Over 70+ unique biomes to discover in the Overworld!

• Battle new mobs that grow more difficult as you level up.

• Take treasure hunting to a whole new level as you explore both Doomlike and Roguelike Dungeons.

• Master the various forms of dark magical arts and get weird with some wizards.

• Grow massive mystical farms and use your crops to create hundreds of new food recipes, potentially even gaining you new hearts!

• Capture and tame your very own dragon (may die in the process).

• Discover, breed and ride a variety of Chocobo!

In addition to the overworld, explore eight unique dimensions:

• The Aether — Complete with lost content, players can ascend into the heavenly Aether, challenging the powerful gods themselves to prove themselves and claim the etherial treasures that lie in wait.

• Atum 2 — Explore vast rolling deserts and unearth treasures lost to time. Archaeological adventurers may not want to be quick to trust the locals however as many are wary of outside travelers.

• Aroma1977's mining dimension — A simple mining dimension, filled with all the ores you could ask for! (Configs may need tweaking to allow for other mod-specific ore to generate)

• The Between Lands — Ever wanted to visit the deep-southern gulf swamplands of Louisiana or Florida? Then look no further than The Between Lands! Only the most sane of adventurers will be able to withstand the Lovecraftian-style horrors that inhabit this place. But even those who live to tell the tale will surely never be the same.

• Cavern II — Similar to Aroma1977's mining dimension, the Cavern is a dimension focused solely on mining and spelunking but with a darker twist. Evil things lurk in the darkness, waiting to pounce upon the unsuspecting. Should one discover the ancient knowledge lost to the abandoned libraries, who knows where that may lead? (Configs may need tweaking to allow for other mod-specific ores to generate)

• The Nether — Do not be fooled, this demented hell-scape is not the same as you remember. Though treasure abounds for the willing, hellish creatures await adventurers who dare delve into their lair.

• Tropicraft — Tired of the mining grind? Take the vacation of a lifetime (perhaps your last?) and visit the not-so-relaxing paradise isles of Tropicraft. Experience a tropical themed dimension, full of unique aquatic life that is sure remind bottom dwellers of their ever-present thalassophobia.

• The Twilight Forest — This ancient forest may seem like a thing of beauty on the outside, but venturing into the dark woods may prove to be more than what adventurers bargained for. Hidden treasures, abandoned cabins, ancient labyrinths, forgotten castles and many more locations are just waiting to be discovered in The Twilight Forest.

Running the pack:

With this being an extra-large modpack, players will need a minimum of 4GB of RAM (up to 8GB) in order to launch the pack smoothly.

Note: Java gets weird if too much RAM is allocated, so it is recommended to set no more than 8GB of RAM for the pack otherwise Forge will stop responding during the load process.

FPS issues in Minecraft are usually caused by bottlenecked processors and low-end graphics cards, but the following mods may help.

• BetterFPS — included in the pack but will require user tweaking for the best performance results.

• Optifine — not included or tested with the pack, may cause conflicts with other mods.
