So here's the deal. There's a night that shows up without asking. The sky goes red, every shadow starts moving, and that zombie you punched yesterday comes back twice your size with a name over its head like "Enkindling Vampiric Zombie". That's the Blood Moon. It always comes back. You never get used to it.

In Sangreluna nobody learns magic in a nice quiet tower. You take it. From demons, from your own blood, from the sky, from a book you probably shouldn't have opened. Thirteen magic schools, eight dimensions, dragons, dinosaurs, tornadoes, a casino run by a guy who will personally come find you if you win too much, and enough machines to automate your revenge.

2. Give it 8 to 10 GB of RAM. It has eight dimensions and a dinosaur problem.
3. Shaders: Complementary Reimagined and BSL are tested and look unreasonably good during a Blood Moon.

🔧 Forge 47.4.10 or newer 🚫 Remove the client-only stuff: Embeddium, Oculus, Zume, Entity Culling, Xaero's Minimap, Xaero's World Map, Mouse Tweaks, Controlling ➕ Add Chunky and pregenerate before anyone logs in: /chunky radius 2000 then /chunky start. Add FTB Backups 2, because someone will blow up spawn. 🔊 Open UDP 24454 for voice chat, next to the usual TCP 25565 💾 8 GB RAM minimum, 10 to 12 GB with four or more players

❓ QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

Is there a quest book? No. Sandbox on purpose. JEI plus every mod's own guide book is your map.

Is the casino pay-to-win? No. Every bet is an in-game item. Nothing is bought, nothing is cashed out. The house is a mob, and mobs can be killed.

Why 1.20.1? Biggest catalog for magic, dimensions and creatures. 79 of the 82 mods we wanted exist here. On 1.21 it's under 60.

Can I add or remove mods? Yes. It's a curated list, not a locked box. If you want to tune the difficulty, the three levers are Champions, Apotheosis and Enhanced Celestials.

It's too hard. Good. Lower Blood Moon frequency in the Enhanced Celestials config, lower Champion spawn chance in champions-ranks.toml, or turn off Undead Nights. Then come back when you're ready.
