Welcome! You have made quite the Sagacious Choice to come here

If you are like me and sometimes find yourself thinking "Wow, I really want to play minecraft all of a sudden", only to boot the game up, play a couple of hours and go right back to ditching the game, then this little project of mine is for you!

Every time I play minecraft I feel like something is missing, and through the making of this modpack I have made clear for myself what those things are and found mods that I feel suit these needs.

With a goal of making everything fit nicely and also, very importantly, look nice I've scrounged up a lot of smaller mods, QoL and Mechanic focus, and some larger ones, Content, and I have tweaked them in my own way.

What I'm hoping for is to make a pack that sets a standard for how sandbox survival should be and to bring some attention to features people are missing out on because they don't want to go through the pain of gathering up mods themselves or don't want to play with mods at all.

If you have a friend that is like this, then I hope my pack can show them some things they eventually don't want to play minecraft without. For this reason, the modpack is also focused somewhat on multiplayer friendliness and balance.

But most importantly: I just hope you're able to have a fun time with this pack :)

Featured mods and notes about them:

General

- Quark introduces lots of Quality of Life additions, such as reacharound placing, double door opening, more banner layers, more redstone mechanics, and a ton more!

The Pickarang, Paper decor, Variant Animal textures, and many other features disabled either because of duplicate functions or because I judged that they look bad. Enable them yourself if you want to.

-Project MMO is included in this pack BUT! Do not worry, I've removed all the level requirements for things. The reason I have it here is to give players a sense of progress no matter what they do, which I feel makes gameplay a bit more fun and makes every player a bit different. P.S Veinmining is enabled, bind it to whatever key you want (default is R)

Combat

- Better Hurt Timer makes you a bit more vulnerable, since invincibility frames are removed for most things. Lava and fire are still balanced but just be cautious. Of course, this means that you can deal more damage as well, if you're skillful, and makes fighting alongside your friends even better.

- Elenai Dodge 2 introduces a dodging mechanic that you may use for some added combat prowess. Be aware that heavy armor makes your dodges worse though.

- Spiders 2.0 let spiders have full control of their movement, meaning they can now even walk on ceilings and are slightly faster.

- Big Brain makes Pillagers slightly smarter by telling them to run away when reloading their crossbows and move closer if they have multishot. They're still quite dumb though.

- Swing Through Grass removes your enemies' greatest shield: random grass and flowers. You can now just swing right through these blocks and destroy them while hitting mobs.

- Artifacts. Find powerful items in your world that do more than just increase your stats, and that also display clearly on your character!

Building

- Windowlogging and Pain in the Glass allow you to be much more creative with your glass panes, because you can now place panes in stairs and slabs.

- Double Slabs allows you to combine slabs now! It's configured to be activated on a keybind, so check your controls.

- Precise Block Placing lets you hold your right mouse button down and build much faster compared to vanilla placement speeds. Try it out, or check their mod page for a demonstration.

- Bedspreads. Craft your nicest banner and combine it with a bed in the crafting table and you've got your own customized bed!

- Framed Blocks for making your builds out of any block you want, in any shape!

Redstone

- Redstone Pen is a new tool for those of you who feel that redstone takes up too much space, and enables you to draw lines of redstone on walls and ceilings.

or why not:

- Tiny Redstone! This mod introduces tiny tools for you to make large redstone contraptions fit inside a single block. Make use of the Redstone Panel to pick the circuits up and move them around easily, or show them off to your friends!

-TIS3D adds a few blocks, all related to very simple, low-tech computing. This can be used as an alternative for redstone circuits, and they also look pretty cool. The mod has its own in-game guide, and you can find the manual in JEI.

-Quark has introduced some very handy automation features like letting dispensers place blocks (and seeds) or making pistons with iron rods break things, opening up possibilities for automated crop farms and many other things.

World

- Upstream adds rivers to the world generation that connect much better than in vanilla and make boats useful.

- YUNG's collection of mods improve cave, dungeon, and mineshaft generation by leaps and bounds. A staple in most modpacks.

- Falling leaves add subtle falling leaves from trees that help make the atmosphere feel a little more... natural? It's a good and light mod, in any case.

- Snow! Real Magic! and Snow Under Trees make snow much more consistent, so all of your snowy biomes will be more consistent and have a bit more life to them.

- Passable Foliage removes collision from leaves, so you can now walk through the forests unhindered! Falling into leaves from a height reduce fall damage too. A personal favorite of mine.

- Keep the Rain! Removes what could possibly be, in my opinion, the worst feature in Minecraft: resetting the rain timer when sleeping. With this installed you should see a lot more rainy days, but in a good way!

Exploration

-Chalk is a great mod to help you not lose your way when you're navigating these new caves or other places. Just find some Calcite and combine with any dye to mark blocks with arrows and crosses to point where ever you need.

Fun

- Personality quite simply, a mod that lets you sit and crawl. Press 'z' by default to sit and 'c' to crawl, but you can rebind these.

Performance

- Magnesium improves minecraft rendering tremendously and you should see a pretty nice FPS boost with this.

- Smooth Boot should improve your loading times on higher end systems and reduce the strain of booting on lower end systems.

- FerriteCore reduces memory usage of minecraft through some high level stuff that I'm not well-versed in enough to explain, but it works.

- Sulfuric optimizes the minecraft lighting engine.

More content

This modpack also includes things like Alex's Mobs, Farmer's Delight, Aquaculture 2, Upgrade Aquatic, Nekoration, Unnamed Animal mod, and a lot more stuff and changes that I can't be bothered to list at the moment.

New Ores by doodooxyz (adds the new vanilla ore textures from 1.17, which are a vast improvement to minecraft visually, to other versions of the game)

Particles+ by mr_ch0c0late1 (fixes graphical glitches from block-breaking particles.)
