Welcome to Rustic Wanderings! This modpack aims to provide gameplay that is not too far removed from vanilla in terms of power and progression, but provides a dynamic and aesthetic exploration experience. It emphasizes quality of life, performance, and offers numerous activities for agrarians, builders, or foragers.

(World Generation)

This modpack offers biome generation that's a bit more off the beaten path. The biomes in this world will vary from groves of Sakura Trees from Sakura Rosea, to crisp, rosy fall forests from Autumnity. View snowy spires and swim beneath massive icebergs, or make your home on a stretching beach overlooking a bright turquoise lagoon with Oh, the Biomes You'll Go and Voyage.

The landscape is peppered with points of interest, as well. From cozy hobbit holes or rare treasures encased in ice, to looming Towers filled with loot - you'll find intrigue (and occasionally danger) everywhere you go. Such mods include Valhelsia Structures, Dungeons Plus, Venture, and Towers of the Wild.

Underground terrain has also received some love, using mods like Yung's Better Caves and Better Mineshafts, and Quark to make the caving in Minecraft a little more exciting.

The Overworld isn't the only dimension with new features! Endergetic Expansion brings some much-needed attention to The End. The Nether has a number of interesting additions from FutureMC (which brings Netherite to 1.15.2!), and introduces a new high-tier material called Starcillium! But beware, both the End and the Nether have more dangerous beasts as well. There may also be a third dimension, more dangerous even than these...

(Gearing for Danger)

The further you traverse from spawn, the closer you draw to the Outerlands. The beasts here are wild - they may look like the ones you're used to, but they are significantly more dangerous. They are also guarding treasures found nowhere else in the world, making the Outerlands a worthy goal for the acquisition-oriented traveler.

With a more perilous world, you'll require better tools, weapons and armor. Thankfully, you're no longer forced to rely on simple ores for these - you'll be able to craft gear from the various creatures living in your world with Craft and Hunt! And you can loot unique Curios that allow you to repair items in your inventory, teleport to new places, or automatically draw items to you! And don't forget the main course - Tetra, a mod which allows you to build and level up modular tools, both vanilla-styled and brand new!

Multiplayer

This modpack was designed for a multiplayer server, and as such should provide a good basis for you and your friends to play together. It includes mods such as Teams, Ma Essentials, Loyalty Rewards, and Login Protection, to ensure that both players and server owners have tools at their disposal to make online play easier and more fun!

Notes on performance:

I run this modpack on my laptop, which has an Intel i3 processor with only 2.1Ghz per core. My RAM is 8GB total and I have 4gb allocated. I average 15-20 fps without OptiFine. Loading time is approximately 3.5 minutes. If your computer is better than this, you should experience better performance than I do, but so far I find it playable even on my low-end system. So far I have not found any major issues using OptiForge and preview versions of OptiFine to improve performance, but your mileage may vary!

Rustic Wanderings is a modpack for Forge Minecraft 1.15.2. Due to the early nature of this version (and the mods for it), uploads may be frequent and kinks may need to be worked out.
