Runeverge turns Minecraft into an exploration RPG. You start in a world of towering mountains, sky islands and sprawling continents, catch and train creatures with Pixelmon, and then push through new dimensions, dungeons and bosses, with a questbook guiding the way.

What makes it different from vanilla

A new world to explore. Terralith, Tectonic, Biomes O’ Plenty and TerraBlender rebuild terrain generation. Mountains are taller, continents bigger and the landscape much more varied, tuned in this pack for more walkable land. Distant Horizons lets you see those peaks from far away.

Pixelmon at the core. Pixelmon 9.4.1 adds catchable creatures and battles. Wild spawning is tuned so exploring new areas doesn’t freeze the game, which we checked by profiling the pack.

Dimensions and caves to discover. Besides the Nether and End (expanded by Better Nether and Better End), you can visit:

• The Pixelmon Ultra Space
• Six cave biomes from Alex’s Caves

Dungeons, structures and bosses. YUNG’s Better Dungeons, Mineshafts, Strongholds and Bridges, When Dungeons Arise, Dungeons & Taverns, Repurposed Structures and Explorations fill the world with places worth entering. Lootr gives each player their own loot. Bosses include Cataclysm, Bosses of Mass Destruction, Mowzie’s Mobs and Ice and Fire.

Gear and magic. Iron’s Spells ‘n Spellbooks, Apotheosis (affixes and enchanting), Artifacts, Relics, Silent Gear, Simply Swords, Spartan Weaponry and Too Many Bows give you reasons to keep fighting and crafting.

Building and cooking. Macaw’s mods, Handcrafted, FramedBlocks, Chipped and Supplementaries for decoration, plus Farmer’s Delight and Cooking for Blockheads for food.

Storage and automation. Sophisticated Backpacks and Storage, Functional Storage, Tom’s Simple Storage and Applied Energistics 2.

Quality of life. JEI, Jade, Xaero’s Minimap and World Map, Waystones for fast travel, Explorer’s and Nature’s Compass, Inventory Profiles Next, Better Advancements, dynamic lights and Sound Physics.

Performance. Sodium, Iris (shader-ready, but no shader pack included), ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, Entity Culling, C2ME and Radium.

Requirements: Java 21 and about 8 GB of RAM allocated.
