Rise to Power aims to allow the player to start out with a few resources at your disposal to dig in and protect yourself during the first few nights as you explore and find a region to settle in. Exploration in itself will be difficult as the further you travel from spawn the tougher enemies will become. Finding small dungeon treasure rooms are now also guarded by boss difficulty enemies, requiring new tactics to overcome. Alternatively, uncommon and rare variants of enemies may appear, when killed may drop random enchanted books allowing you to strengthen your equipment. You as a player will also be able to become stronger through a skill based leveling system, allowing you to travel to more dangerous lands for longer times without having to retreat to the safety of your home as often. Starting out a colony to extend your control over your region will also allow you to gather resources and fortify against the harsh nights, either alone or together with friends. While traveling, you may encounter adventurers whom have run out of resources themselves, you can offer them food and they will pay back your generosity by fighting along side you. With a large assortment of enchantments, you can bolsters your friends, your soldiers and even your dogs as you rise to power.
