There are multiple different world generation mods that help you explore a whole new world, and gain the materials you need for the other expansions in this pack. 

There are multiple industrial packs that allow you to revolutionize your gameplay. Mekanism and Industrial Foregoing allow you to rapidly industrialize and take down any foe that crosses your path

Many different fishing/foods mods have been added also, to create more possibilities when it comes to the ocean, and you can cook / craft just about any food that you can think of. 

This mod can also appeal to multiplayer, as there are plenty of building mods like MrCrayfish, and the chisel mods plus a few more. 

To give the game more of a challenge, there are bosses featured in the fire and ice modpack, plus more to do in the end plus the nether dimension, and to top it off, there is an AI mod that makes the mobs smarter and harder to kill.
