Refinished

Minecraft, polished without becoming a different game.

Refinished is a Fabric modpack for Minecraft 26.2 built around a simple idea: keep the vanilla game, but improve the parts that feel unfinished, dated, or unnecessarily rough.

The normal Minecraft progression is still here. There are no huge tech trees, quest books, new dimensions or piles of random content. Instead, the pack focuses on visuals, atmosphere, animations, world generation, quality-of-life and performance.

What changes?

Visuals & atmosphere

The world has more movement and detail without turning Minecraft into something unrecognizable.

• Improved clouds, water and lighting
• Better particles and weather effects
• More natural foliage and environmental details
• Improved entity and player animations
• Refined textures and block visuals
• More immersive ambient and environmental sounds
• Better sound positioning and acoustics

World

Terrain and exploration have been improved while keeping the overworld familiar.

Expect more interesting landscapes, better rivers and a world that feels less repetitive without replacing Minecraft's original style.

Small details

A lot of the pack is made up of things you probably won't think about until you go back to vanilla.

Inventory interactions are smoother, item pickups feel better, advancement notifications have more polish, interfaces provide useful information, crafting and storage have small improvements, and many other little rough edges have been cleaned up.

Nothing here is meant to take over the game.

Performance

Refinished also includes a modern optimization stack for rendering, memory use, lighting, entities, block entities, networking and chunk generation.

The goal isn't to sacrifice the visual upgrades for FPS — it's to make room for them.

Shaders are supported through Iris and are completely optional. The pack is designed to look good without one.

What Refinished is not

This isn't a kitchen-sink modpack.

You won't find large technology systems, magic progression, hundreds of new ores, complicated skill trees or a quest book telling you how to play.

It's still Minecraft.

Just… refinished.
