First public build of Xu Wang Bi Lu, a Chinese mystery modpack built on a reusable four-act case engine.

Content

• Case 00 — tutorial. A short guided case that walks you through all four acts and the investigation controls.
• Case 01 — the first full case. A complete investigation-to-trial story with a scene to search, people to question, and a trial to win.

Systems

• Four-act case engine: opening, crime, investigation, trial — with skippable performance acts and a non-skippable trial.
• Magnifier-based investigation with a running clock and a sanity meter.
• NPC questioning that unlocks new answers as the case progresses.
• Trial cross-examination with evidence-based rebuttal.
• Character selection with distinct skills, plus 2D character portraits.
• Custom inventory book, clue tagging, and a purpose-built dialogue UI.
• Original music, ambient sound design and voice playback.

Notes

• Chinese only. All text, dialogue and voice are in Chinese. An English localization is planned but not included in this build.
• Shaders are bundled but disabled by default — enable them in video settings if your hardware can handle it.
• Requires Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge 47.4.13; 6 GB of allocated RAM recommended.

Known issues

• Cases beyond 01 are not included yet; the engine is built for them.
• Report anything broken in the comments — please include the crash log if the game fails to start.
