Realm of Torment v1.0.zip
What's new
Release v.1.0 is out!!!
Here are all the changes:
The Iron Spells and Spellbooks mod has been updated to its latest version, therefore a lot of changes have been made to its gameplay mechanics:
- Since the author of the mod is encouraging players not to kill the neutral minibosses (sorcerers) to get runic tablets, I have decided to remove the kill quests regarding those mobs, eliminating also the added probability of acquiring an ancient knowledge fragment from killing one of them. While the aim here was to discourage players from killing the sorcerers of the mod, ancient knowledge fragments can still be obtained by killing the 2 bosses: the Dead King and Tyros – to incourage players to challenge such bosses in order to unlock better spells.
- Speaking about the two bosses, both of them will now spawn as tier 3 champions, as they became too easy to defeat in the late game stages.
- As stated in the Iron Spells and Spellbooks changelog for the newest versions, the 2 bosses now drop keys, used to open vaults found inside their home structures. None of the Magic Vaults introduced by the mod, however, gives the player a chance to obtain an Autoloader Crossbow, therefore I have added the possibility of getting it from a Cinderous Vault, found inside the Citadel, with a very low percentage.
- The drop rate for the Dead King's Phylactery Shards, obtainable from Bone Vaults found inside the Catacombs, has been increased from 1–3 to 2–6, so it is possible to resurrect a Dead King without having to travel to an unreasonable amount of Catacombs to gather all the Fragments to craft the Phylactery.
- The description for the Dead King's kill quest has been updated to match the fact that it can now be resurrected and explains all the mechanics behind it.
The Dark Doppelgänger now drops a Netherite ingot instead of a Nether star, to compensate for the huge late–game demands of the item.
Other than Tyros and the Dead King, now also the Wither and the Warden have been added to the Champions cathegory, with the Wither spawning as a Tier 3 champion and the Warden as a Tier 4, to make Ancient cities actually frightening to explore (to discourage players to just go there, loot everything and slay any warden that spawns with the ease of the late–game stats).
Since now the Warden is a Tier 4 champion, the player now gets rewarded with 2 echo shards upon killing it, as a reward for the brave that dare to take on the challenge.
Changed the recipe for the Soul Return Scroll.
Removed the "Tons of Enchants" mod, replaced instead by the "Just a lot more enchantments" mod.
Removed the "Ecological Replenishment Station" mod, due to the severe incompatibilies with some mods that caused the total malfunction of the taming processes of many creatures from the mod.
Removed the "Aquamirae" mod, as I felt it wasn't particularly useful or interesting to fit into the modpack
Added the "Primal" mod, to give a bit more life to the various biomes
Added the "Mutant Monsters" mod
Added the "Ice and Fire: Dragon fix" mod. Now dragons from the Ice and Fire mod will be much scarier
Added Better Combat compatibility to a bunch of weapons I forgot to do before
This mod has no additional files
