Hi, this is _weil!
This modpack is the first one from RBM series that me and my friends managed to put up on Curseforge, a remake of the first ever modpack I concocted back during the pandemic. For us, as I mostly upload this for convienience of sharing it with more and more people in our friend group, it's going to be a shot of nostalgia and memories, though this time more death and horrors will come along (^-^).
As a modpack maker, it's my utmost pleasure to make sure that every little corner of Minecraft world will be eerie, deadly and full of Unholy abominations, making players scream "Damnation!" at their screens, so this modpack is filled with mods adding horrific just as well as whimsical creatures, realistic survival mechanics and some interesting twists on the typical Vanilla experience making mobs much more trecherous (true Nightmare Creatures!!!). I tried to focus on adventuring and vanilla-like mechanics with as little systemic gameplay so you won't almost find any tech mods in here, just a lot of magic, adventure and dragons!
Some death-and-adventure-inducing features I prepared for your journey:
- thirst and temperature mechanics, and a need to diversify your diet
- dangerous space destroying rifts full of treasures and abominations
- mighty dragons, ready to eat you alive (seriously, I went a bit overboard with those)
- dungeons and ruins full of traps, monsters and bosses
- 4 new realms to explore, with fresh,vibrant and deadly additions to the Nether and the End
- magic system with a whole lot of spells and rituals to do on those long all-nighters
- a blacksmithing system combining of Tinkers Construct and Embers Rekindled
- lots of horrors and surprises for you to uncover yourself!
Tips for those less aquainted with modded gameplay:
- if you don't know something, ask other players, or google it, google translate is free too!
- if you think some mob looks dangerous, it probably is
- remember to always have a spare water canteen or a bucket, thirst can be decisive during adventures
- yes, the Nether is hot, you're going to burn
- don't get too attached to your stuff, you will die, a lot...... but don't you worry a corpse with your items will remain in the place of your death, at least for some time, or until someone else gets there first
- nobody survives in the Dream Realm alo.... I mean nobody survives facing a Dragon alone (as I said, I went a bit overboard hehe)
- if you're playing in multiplayer, always ask others for consent before summoning eldritch horrors (^-^)
