Ramen Noodle Flavored is a small RPG pack designed to be played in multiplayer.
The pack makes a few changes to try and encourage the development of infrastructure, trading, and community between players:
- Mending can no longer be applied to tools or armor. Instead, using mending with the tool you want to repair in an anvil will reset the level cost back down to one. The "Too Expensive" limit has been removed from the anvil as well. This change has been made to encourage continued mining and resource gathering.
- The Elytra has been nerfed as well via the mod Aileron. Fireworks will no longer propel you while gliding. Instead the Elytra can be enchanted with to either give you a limited amount of boosts or greater hoizontal gliding distance when above a certain height.
- Waystones are not in this modpack, but are instead replaced by Via Romana. Instead of just slapping down a waystone and having instant access to teleportation, you now must create roads and paths between your points of interest. By creating a road and placing down a sign at each location, you can instantly travel between the two points! This encourages players to develop infrastructure to connect their builds and other areas they commonly explore.
As for the RPG elements:
- End Remastered greatly lengthens the early and midgame, slowing your progression down in an attempt to encourage players to take their time and work together to get to the end.
- RPG Series adds the Wizard, Archer, Paladin, Priest, Warrior, and Rogue classes so you can form a party with your friends!
- SimplySwords offers new weapon types to use in battle. Unique swords can be acquired after the defeat of the end dragon with low drop chances, giving players endgame loot to chase.
- Tierify adds a reforging system to your weapons and armor, allowing you to chase the best possible roll on your item.
- MineCells adds a new dungeon to explore and new bosses to fight, all of which fits nicely into the Vanilla progression.
