I decided to make this modpack because I miss the old-school modpacks where we played more with pipes that show items traversing, built big multiblock steam ovens, routed all items via trains between our factories, and just took it at a bit slower pace. To me it's more about the journey, being creative, and not rushing to the end-game with - simply put - overpowered mods and resource generation that we see in most modern modpacks.
The focus of this modpack are rails, trains, pipes, and factories. It also has 3 magic mods that I think can be tied in to this idea, and of course many other mods for storage, transport, quality of life, and exploration. It also comes with many decoration and building mods that will allow you to deck out your factories, cities, or whatever else you want to build.
The terrain generation is via OTG (Open Terrain Generator) and Biome Bundles. It completely transforms the way the world is generated and makes it a whole new game with stunning looking landscape, rivers, biomes, trees, and even structures like mansions, towers, witch villages and more.
There are many mods missing that are usually in today's modpacks, like AE2, Refined Storage, AA, EnderIO, and others, because I don't feel they fit the style of this pack.
I made this pack for a new series on my YouTube channel that you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuhnYcdSNo0mwy2RP36pOTeqD-eCxiVMz
I play this modpack with the PureBDcraft resource pack that you can download here: https://bdcraft.net/downloads/purebdcraft-minecraft/
I also collected all the resource patches that I could find for the mods in this pack that you can download here: Link Removed: http://www.mediafire.com/file/5k0fb2yl795ifa0/bdcraft-patches-rails-and-pipes-pack.zip/file
Here is how to install the resource pack and it's patches:
- After downloading the modpack, download the PureBDcraft resource pack to your "resourcepacks" folder.
- Then download the patch collection and extract it in to the "resourcepacks" folder as well.
- Once the modpack is loaded, go to options and enable all the resource packs that you see in the list.
