It is designed for a logical progression and longevity of gameplay.

All progression is now handled through a quest system. There is a primary quest line which handles progression and optional side quests which reward your additional efforts.

The beginning...

You will start off in a lovingly composed, harsher than usual Vanilla+ style world.

You can expect to find such things as...

-Only Vanilla ores and world-gen set in a "Quark: Realistic" world-type.

-Dynamic Trees.

-The quality of life addition of "Shield Parrying", "Mouse Tweaks" and "Antique Atlas".

-A compelling and unique cave system through the combination of Better with mods "Hardcore Strata", Quarks speleothems and Worley's caves providing a far more natural and compelling cave system.

Stone is split into three layers; high, mid and low strata. High strata is normal stone, mid and low strata will require Iron and Diamond level tools respectively forcing spelunking to be the most viable method of acquiring diamonds. Look for cave openings on the surface.

Age 2: The Electric Boogaloo.
This will unlock the knowledge of the following mods:

-Buildcraft Transport,
-Forestry,
-Storage drawers,
-Open Blocks.

Power level for this tier: Renewable biofuels
Item required to advance: Bituminous Peat (Forestry)

Age 3: Age of Engineering.
This will unlock the knowledge of the following mods:
-Magneticraft,
-Industrial Renewal,
-Immersive Engineering,
-Immersive Railroading,
-Immersive Petroleum,

-Redstone switches and Gauges.

Power level for this tier: Refined petrochemicals
Item required to advance: A Jerry Can full of diesel (Immersive Petroleum/Engineering)

Age 4: Watch out! Radioactive man!
This will unlock the knowledge of the following mods:
-Industrialcraft 2,
-Tech Reborn,
-Logistics Pipes,
-Translocators,
-World Control,
-Project Red Wires, Lights and Circuits

Power level for this tier: Nuclear
Item required to advance: Plutonium (Industrialcraft 2)

Age 5: Quantum Mechanics.
This will unlock the knowledge of the following mods:
-RF Tools,
-Portal Gun,
-Open Modular Turrets,
-Modular Powersuits,
-Galacticraft,
-Computercraft,
-Factory0 Resources.

Power level for this tier: Fusion
Item required to advance: Tier 3 Rocket (Galacticraft)

Age 6: Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
This will unlock the knowledge of the following mods:
-Avaritia,
-Draconic Evolution,
-Project E.

Power level for this tier: Draconic Reactor
Item required to advance: Creative Upgrade Kit (Thermal Foundation)

End Game: Cosmic Completionist.
This is for the completionists. Upon crafting all of the creative recipes and expensive all encompassing recipes. You can say you beat this pack.

Some tweaks worth noting:

-Surviving is hard

The Monsters will hunt you down, they will hunt down your animals.

They will come in varied forms thanks to Special Mobs, they will track your lights and sounds.

Blood moons will compound these effects to disastrous end.

The darkness, the gloom will close in on you. Don't stand in the dark...

-IC2 machines dont require a wrench to move and can run using RF/FE.

-Water source blocks can't be easily moved.

This encourages power stations and farms to be built near bodies of water.

Water can be pumped from rivers and oceans indefinitely and delivered to farms via aqueducts.

-The Twilight forest portal requires Soul Dust (sawdust of a Bloodwood) instead of a Diamond.

-Lots of tweaks minor adjustments without any recipe changes to encourage longevity and creativity.

I recommend: Optifine, at least 4Gb RAM
