Originally, QUAD was just an impromptu idea of mine to cobble together a modpack for 1.16 after seeing a bunch of cool mods for that version (Create, Terraforged,...)
QUAD stood for quick, ugly, and dirty but don't worry, its none of these things anymore! The name just stuck. I put quite a lot of effort into this pack to make it unique engaging an polished.
IMPORTANT: USE THE TERRAFORGED WORLD GENERATOR!
This modpack is supposed to be played with the terraforged worldgen enabled (A terraforged preset is provided in the pack). Since this is a very heavy world generation mod I did not want to put this in the "Light/Small" category. However, this pack is actually fairly lightweight if you would pregenerate the world).
QUAD contains custom ore generation that takes advantage of Terraforge's strata. Each ore only spawns in a specific material, which material that is you can find out by looking at it in JEI (based on the texture). That means you can specifically look for these regions in the world to go mining for an ore. A single cave visit won't likely give you every kind of ore.
This pack puts a big focus on bees although it should be possible to play the game without touching them. The only added technical progression is Create -> Mekanism.
If you are interested in vanilla-like tier progression you can find a few armor and tools set in this pack, upgradable like netherite in the smiting table.
This pack contains 69 resourceful bees to find, breed, and keep; a ton of biomes; and a handful of small magic mods. If you are interested in what it does not have. I do not plan to add Tinkers Construct, BoP, Botania, Immersive Engineering or any other classic big tech mod. This pack does also NOT have any guide or questbook. It is an open experience and I recommend using the books provided by the mods to exlplore themself to see what cool and nifty things the have to offer.

This pack is my public debut and I try, like with all of my packs, to counterbalance against the modpack meta of just getting done with a pack. The endgame is not the goal here, ideally its just the start. This modpack is aimed at an open ended game for long term players. (Huh, ironically just the playstyle I prefer in minecraft, who would have thought).
