The modpack adds plenty of mods that aim not drastically to change the game from a vanilla experience and instead add onto it. The modpack was initially made to be relatively light to accommodate for PC's that have a harder time running mods that cause too much stress but may change depending on how well it runs. Mods are added with a multiplayer-server immersion being kept in mind.
Examples of mods that add onto Vanilla are things like More Golems, Guard Villagers, and the Create mod along with it's additions. This modpack also heavily expands upon the pets system allowing you to add enchantments to pets(including modded) and thanks to Doggy Talents Next, dogs are heavily customizable giving you the ability to access a points system that special powers and quirks to dogs along with the option to change the look/skin of your dog in 70+ ways.
