Description
Project Blacklight is a Minecraft modpack designed to completely pull you into a harsh, realistic post-apocalyptic world, but it’s still Minecraft at heart. It’s all been adjusted so the environment responds to what you do and feels inhabited, without overloading you with lots of complicated things to manage.
The physics - things falling, buildings breaking down and so on - are included, but you can easily turn them off in the settings if you want a more relaxed experience. You’ll probably have to set up your controls at the very start of the game, so customize them to what’s comfortable for you.
To make the game look good and run smoothly, even with visual effects (shaders), it uses Oculus (don't update Oculus!), Rubidium, ModernFix, and other common ways of improving speed. Complementary is the shader that's used by default and gives a good balance of atmosphere and visuals.
When you’re playing, Zombie Awareness works with MTS/Immersive Vehicles, Weather2 and Lost Cities to make the world feel deserted, random and full of life. Realistic storms increase the pressure, cities can be a safe place or a trap, and the zombies aren't dumb. They’ll be smart enough to be worrisome!
There are also useful additions like lifts, furniture, textures that flow on long surfaces, garage doors, and lots of tools. And if you need weapons, the pack has a complete selection of TACZ arms - Glocks, RPKs, RPGs, grenades, living the American nightmare.
Basically, Project Blacklight aims to be completely absorbing without being overly complicated, suspenseful but not irritating, and a modified game that feels deliberate from the second you appear in the world.
